VASAGLE CUSTOS Collection LBC412W01 6-Tier Adjustable Bookcase, Cloud White

The six open tiers make use of vertical space, giving books, plants and ornaments a clear place without the look of a closed cabinet. Some shelves adjust to three height options, which helps accommodate taller items.

At 80 x 24 x 160.7 cm, this Cloud White bookcase has a relatively narrow footprint and is designed for floor mounting. Could it provide display space while keeping a room feeling open? That is the appeal of its open shelving.

Part of VASAGLE’s CUSTOS Collection, it has a minimalist style, crisp right-angled lines and a design without a skirting-board cut-out. The engineered-wood construction uses particleboard and MDF.

Benefits

The six-tier layout can separate books from smaller display pieces, making it useful in a living room, home office or dining room. Open shelves also keep contents visible and accessible, unlike a cupboard where everything is concealed. The adjustable shelves, each with three height settings, offer some flexibility when the items you want to store are not all the same height.

The listed dimensions may suit a spare corner or a narrower section of wall where a wider storage unit would take up more floor space. The Cloud White painted finish and simple lines are intended to sit neatly alongside other furnishings, including matching pieces from the CUSTOS Collection.

Buyers mention straightforward assembly and clear instructions, and some also describe the bookcase as sturdy and a suitable size. These are customer impressions rather than a guarantee of how it will perform in every home, so follow the supplied instructions when assembling and positioning it.

Quick overview

This is a freestanding, open bookcase with six shelves, a trapezium-shaped profile and a minimalist style. It measures 80 x 24 x 160.7 cm and weighs 23.8 kg. The material is listed as engineered wood, the product details further specify 12 mm particleboard and MDF. The stated capacity is 10 kg per tier and 70 kg in total, but the safety warning says not to exceed 60 kg. As those total-load figures conflict, use the lower 60 kg warning as the limit and do not exceed 10 kg on any tier.

An anti-tip kit is included, and the product notes say to secure the bookcase to the wall with it. This matters particularly when placing the unit in a home where children are present, children should not climb on or play with the shelves.

Usage tips

Plan the position with the full height and depth in mind, then arrange heavier books lower down and lighter display items on higher shelves, while staying within the stated load limits. Set adjustable shelves to suit taller pieces before filling the unit, as changing their position later may mean moving stored items.

Assemble it using the included instructions and accessory kit, and use the anti-tip kit to secure it to the wall. Keep the shelves for their intended storage and display purpose rather than as steps or a climbing frame. It suits you if you want accessible, open storage for books and decorative items. It might not be a great match if you need doors to hide belongings or prefer a fully enclosed cabinet.

When it makes sense

Choose this VASAGLE bookcase if you want a tall, open display unit with some shelf-height adjustment and a 24 cm depth. It offers a different approach from a basic, fixed-shelf rack: its adjustable sections can make room for taller objects, while the white finish and clean lines keep the design restrained. For a room where concealed storage is the priority, a closed cabinet would be a more suitable format.

The practical decision is whether the six open tiers match what you plan to store and whether you can secure the unit to a wall. If so, it can bring books and display pieces together without using the footprint of a deeper unit, keep the conflicting load guidance in mind when deciding how much to place on it.
