A rechargeable 1,200mAh battery powers the lamp, and the included USB-C cable makes charging straightforward. Four battery indicators show the remaining charge, while the adjustable beam can be tilted to direct light where you need it.

The headband adjusts for a comfortable fit and can be removed for washing. Four helmet clips let you attach the light to a helmet when that suits the job.

How to use it

Select a standard lighting mode with the buttons, or activate sensor control and wave a hand within 15cm to switch the light on or off. The sensor setting is handy when your hands are occupied, while the standard controls give you a direct way to change modes. If movement triggers the sensor unexpectedly, switch back to standard mode.

Tilt the lamp head up or down by up to 45° to direct the beam towards a path, work area or campsite. Long-press the power button to dim the light between 100% and 30%, the head torch also remembers your preferred light colour and brightness. The four battery indicators make it easier to keep track of charge before heading out.

Tips for day-to-day use

For a walk or run after dark, adjust the headband and angle the beam towards the route ahead. At a campsite or while fishing, choose between white, warm or red light according to the task. For car repairs or a power cut, hands-free illumination leaves you free to handle tools or other essentials. The rechargeable format is a practical alternative to a torch that relies on replaceable batteries, while the choice of modes offers more flexibility than a basic single-setting head torch.

The head torch is rated IPX5 for water resistance, making it suitable for use in wet weather. Remove the adjustable headband for washing, and use the supplied helmet clips when you want to secure the lamp to a helmet. Buyers praise the range of brightness settings, modes and adjustment options, feedback on battery life and durability is mixed. Runtime varies by setting, with the longest stated figure applying to soft light.

What to clarify

How many lighting modes does it have? There are 12 in total: six standard modes and six motion-sensor modes. They cover XPG white, XPG warm, COB white, combined XPG and COB white, red light and red strobe.

Can I adjust the brightness? Yes. Long-press the power switch to dim the light from 100% to 30%, and the torch remembers your preferred colour and brightness.
