HARPER LIVING 1417B Rechargeable Picture Light, Black, Dimmable LED

For highlighting a framed print, gallery wall or dartboard, the HARPER LIVING 1417B adds focused light without a trailing power cable. Its rechargeable battery and magnetic attachment make it easy to remove for charging. Want to tailor the look to the room? Choose warm, natural or white light, then adjust the brightness by touch or remote.

What you’ll notice day to day

This black, metal picture light is designed for indoor wall mounting and measures 40L x 16W x 5H centimetres. Its downlight directs illumination towards the display, while the LED design uses separate focusing grooves to create a linear spread of light on the wall. That makes it a practical way to draw attention to artwork or a display without adding a conventional wired light fitting to the arrangement.

Set the colour temperature to 3000K warm, 4000K natural or 6000K white, and adjust brightness from 10% to 100% to suit the setting. A memory function keeps the last-used settings for the next time you switch it on. The 280-lumen output and 3-watt rating give you clear reference points when choosing a display light for a smaller feature area.

Buyers often praise the appearance and brightness choices, and some say the battery lasts for several days between charges. These are individual impressions, but they reflect the useful combination of adjustable light and cordless placement for everyday display lighting.

Key takeaways

The built-in 5000mAh battery is rechargeable by USB, with a stated charge time of 4 hours and operating time of over 12 hours. The magnetic attachment lets you detach the light when it needs charging, then return it to its wall-mounted position. For a display where adding a cable would be awkward, this cordless approach offers a simpler alternative to a mains-powered picture lamp.

Control the light directly using its touch switch or from the included remote. The remote also operates a timer that switches the lamp off after 15, 30 or 60 minutes, a handy option when you want display lighting for a set period. At 400 grams, the fixture combines a metal body with a polished finish in a straightforward modern style.

Getting the most from it

Choose the colour temperature to complement the room or the look you want for the display, then use the dimming control to set the level. A warm setting can give a softer feel to a bedroom display, while the natural or white settings provide alternative tones for artwork and framed pieces. The timer is useful when the light is only needed for part of the evening, the memory function helps keep your preferred setting ready for subsequent use.

The fixture is intended for indoor use and wall mounting. Once mounted, its magnetic design makes the lamp removable for USB charging, so you can keep the light positioned over the display while still accessing it when required.

Before you decide

How do I control the light? Use the touch control on the lamp or the included remote to switch it on, change brightness and select a colour temperature. The remote also provides the 15-, 30- and 60-minute timer settings.

Can I change the light colour and brightness? Yes. Choose 3000K warm, 4000K natural or 6000K white light, with brightness adjustable from 10% to 100%. The memory function retains the last-used settings.

How is it charged? The built-in 5000mAh battery charges by USB. The stated charging time is 4 hours, and the light can be detached from its magnetic attachment for charging.

Final verdict

The HARPER LIVING 1417B is a useful fit for indoor displays where you want adjustable, directed light without relying on a wired picture lamp. Its three colour temperatures, dimming, remote timer and removable magnetic design make it straightforward to tailor the lighting and recharge the lamp as part of normal use.
