UGREEN 80432 Cat 8 Ethernet Cable, 10 ft, 40 Gbps, Shielded

For a wired connection between a router and a gaming console, TV or computer, this UGREEN Cat 8 cable brings an RJ45 link to the setup. Its 10 ft length suits nearby connections, including a TV and router. Need bandwidth for a demanding home network? It supports up to 40 Gbps and 2000 MHz, with the actual connection speed depending on the devices involved.

What to know

This indoor Ethernet cable has male-to-male RJ45 connectors and shielded F/FTP construction. The shielding is designed to reduce interference, noise and crosstalk, helping maintain a stable wired connection. A pure copper core and gold-plated connectors complete the signal path, while the cotton-braided outer covering adds a durable, flexible finish for everyday routing around a desk or entertainment centre.

Cat 8 is backward compatible with Cat 7, Cat 6e, Cat 6, Cat 5e and Cat 5 networks. That makes it useful when connecting newer or older network equipment with an RJ45 port, the speed you get still depends on the maximum supported by each device. Rather than relying on a wireless link for a nearby console or TV, connect it directly to the router for a wired network connection.

Quick sizing guide

At 10 ft, this cable is suited to a relatively close run, such as connecting a TV to a nearby router or linking a console to networking equipment. Plan the route between the two devices before placing them, allowing enough length to reach the ports without pulling the cable taut. For a longer route across a larger room or office, choose a cable length suited to that distance.

Getting the most from it

Connect one RJ45 end to the router or network switch and the other to the device’s Ethernet port. For a gaming setup, this gives a direct wired connection to a PS5, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 or Switch, it can also connect computers, laptops, modems, TVs, NAS devices and other compatible network equipment. The cable supports PoE, which can supply power to a compatible PoE device such as a security camera through the network cable. Check that the connected equipment supports the connection you plan to use.

The braided covering is designed for repeated bending and routine cable routing, making it a practical fit for an established home network or a frequently used entertainment area. Its round shape works for running a single connection between nearby devices without adding a bundle of spare cable to the setup.

Questions before you buy

Which devices can I connect? Any compatible device with an RJ45 Ethernet port can use the cable. Listed examples include gaming consoles, computers, laptops, modems, routers, TVs, network switches, NAS devices and hubs.

Will it deliver 40 Gbps on my network? The cable supports data transfer up to 40 Gbps, but the connection speed depends on the maximum supported by the connected devices and network equipment.

Can it power a PoE camera? Yes. This 10 ft cable supports PoE, so a compatible PoE camera can receive power through the network cable when used with suitable PoE equipment.

Is it worth it?

For a nearby wired connection to a gaming console, TV or computer, the UGREEN 80432 combines Cat 8 bandwidth support with shielded construction and a braided outer covering. Choose it when you want a 10 ft RJ45 cable for connecting compatible home network devices directly, with PoE support available for a suitable camera setup as well.
