Torkase YGM-S14-15S Solar String Lights, 50 ft, 16 Shatterproof LED Bulbs

Getting the most from it

The 50-foot Torkase YGM-S14-15S string brings 16 warm-white LED bulbs to patios, porches, decks and garden areas. Its 2200K light gives outdoor seating a softer, welcoming feel, while the linear layout makes it easy to plan a continuous line of light along a railing, pergola or canopy. The bulbs are made from PET and described as shatterproof, a practical choice for a string designed for outdoor settings.

Solar charging lets the panel collect energy in direct sunlight, and USB charging offers another way to recharge. Use the remote to adjust brightness and select light effects, whether you’re setting a relaxed tone for an evening outside or adding more festive lighting for a gathering. The string is dimmable and rated IP65 for outdoor use.

Why it’s worth it

Rather than relying on a single fixed brightness, this set lets you tailor the glow to the occasion. Keep the warm-white lights low for dinner on the deck, or adjust the settings for a birthday gathering or seasonal display. The 50-foot length provides room to outline a seating area or run the lights across a garden space, and the remote makes adjustments convenient once the string is in place.

Buyers describe the light as warm and suitable for outdoor ambience, with some appreciating its brightness for backyard use. Feedback on the ambience and durability is mixed, so the most useful way to think about the design is as decorative lighting that adds a welcoming glow to an outdoor area. For customers choosing between basic, fixed-output string lights and a remotely controlled option, dimming and light effects are the main practical differences here.

What to know

The string uses S14-shaped bulbs with E17 bases and a warm-white colour temperature of 2200K. Its solar panel is intended to charge in direct sunlight, and USB charging provides an alternative when sunlight is limited. The manufacturer states that a full charge can provide up to 8–10 hours of illumination, actual charging and run time vary with sunlight, location and weather. The light sensor can switch the lights on in the evening and off during the day, and they can also be turned off manually at the solar panel.

The IP65 rating and waterproof design suit outdoor placement, including patios and gardens. Plan the layout as one string: the manufacturer says multiple strings cannot be connected together. If one bulb goes out, the parallel wiring is designed to let the other bulbs remain lit. A remote control is included, and its batteries are included as well. Customer feedback also mentions mixed experiences with durability, so arrange the string thoughtfully when hanging it and avoid treating buyer impressions as a substitute for the stated product details.

What to clarify

How can I recharge the lights? The solar panel charges in direct sunlight, and USB charging is also supported. The manufacturer notes that charging time depends on sunlight intensity, location and weather.

Can I connect more than one string? No. The manufacturer says each solar panel is designed to power one string, so the strings cannot be connected together.

Can I change the brightness and lighting effect? Yes. Use the included remote to adjust brightness and select from the available light effects.

When it makes sense

Choose this Torkase string when you want warm, adjustable lighting across a patio, porch or garden seating area, with solar and USB charging options. Its long linear format, shatterproof PET bulbs and remote controls make it a considered fit for outdoor dinners, celebrations and everyday evening ambience.
