Perky-Pet 455-2 Window-Mounted Glass Hummingbird Feeder, Red, 14 oz

Some people want to watch hummingbirds from indoors, others prioritize a feeder that can be placed out in the yard. The Perky-Pet 455-2 is designed to bring feeding activity close to a window, so you can observe visiting birds from home.

Its clear, tempered-glass reservoir holds up to 14 oz of nectar, while the red base and flower-shaped ports give hummingbirds a visible feeding point. Two ports with U-shaped perches provide places to feed and rest.

Attach it to clean, dry glass with the suction cups, or hang it from a post or tree using a nail. The removable bottle makes filling and cleaning more straightforward.

Tips for day-to-day use

Choose a clean, dry window for suction-cup mounting, then position the feeder where you can enjoy a clear view from indoors. The transparent reservoir lets you check the nectar level at a glance, helping you see when it is time to refill. For a different placement, the feeder can also hang from a post or tree with a nail.

When it is time to refresh the nectar, the feeder comes apart and the bottle can be removed from its bracket for filling and cleaning. The two flower-shaped feeding ports and U-shaped perches remain part of the setup, giving hummingbirds a place to settle while they feed. This practical design is useful for anyone who wants a close-up view without having to stand outside beside the feeder.

Benefits

The window-mount format puts hummingbirds within easy view during everyday moments at home, whether you are having breakfast or taking a break near the window. Its clear glass makes the nectar level easy to see, and the red base with flower-shaped openings gives the feeder a distinctive look. With two feeding ports and U-shaped perches, it also provides more than one access point for visiting birds.

The removable bottle is a useful detail for regular care: it can be taken off for refilling and cleaning rather than requiring you to work around a fixed reservoir. Buyers often praise the feeder for attracting hummingbirds and appreciate how easily it can be removed for these tasks. Feedback on window stability and durability is mixed, and some buyers find its weight noticeable. What makes this style appealing is the combination of a close viewing position and a feeder that can be taken apart for routine upkeep.

When it makes sense

Choose the Perky-Pet 455-2 when you want to make hummingbird watching part of your view from indoors, with a feeder designed for window mounting and an alternative way to hang it outdoors. The transparent 14 oz reservoir, two feeding ports and removable bottle support the everyday cycle of observing, refilling and cleaning. It is a practical fit for a window-side setup where seeing visiting birds up close is the main attraction.
