Usage tips

For a quick, targeted response, select ON1 and hold the grey button while manually moving the racket towards a flying insect. Releasing the button cuts power to the grid. For the UV attraction function, select ON2, the purple lights draw insects towards the racket for contact with the electric grid. That gives you a choice between actively pursuing an insect and using the light-based mode, rather than relying on a single approach.

The three-layer mesh adds a physical barrier around the high-voltage grid, and the product is described as automatically clearing residual electricity after use. Regularly remove insect remains after use: accumulated remains can dry out and pose a fire hazard. This simple upkeep helps keep the racket ready for its next use.

Everyday use

The rechargeable design and charging base suit regular use around the home, in an office, or in a courtyard. The racket is also described for camping and outdoor use, giving you a portable way to address flying insects in different settings. For example, keep it charged at home and use manual mode when a mosquito is in the room, switch to the UV-light mode when you want the lights to attract insects towards the racket. The two modes make it useful for both immediate swatting and a light-based approach.

Customer feedback on battery life is positive, with buyers appreciating that the device is rechargeable and the convenience of the charging base. Opinions on effectiveness are mixed, so the choice between manual use and UV attraction is a practical feature: you can select the mode that best suits the situation, while keeping realistic expectations about results with different insects.

Should you buy it?

Choose the PALONE WD-995 if you want an electric racket that combines hands-on swatting with UV attraction, rather than a tool limited to one operating style. Its rechargeable battery, charging base and three-layer mesh make it a practical fit for people looking to manage flying insects around the home, office, courtyard or campsite. The main benefit is flexibility: one device gives you a manual option when an insect is in reach and a light-based mode when you want to draw insects towards the racket.
