PawHut D06-142DR 4-Level Folding Pet Stairs, Dark Brown, Non-Slip Mats

Small pets that need a gentler way to reach a bed or sofa can use these four-level PawHut stairs to get up to a favourite resting spot.

The folding design makes it easier to put the stairs away between uses or take them along when needed. At 2.1 kg, they’re straightforward to move around the home.

Dark brown polypropylene gives the stairs a defined place beside furniture, while soft, non-slip mats cover each step to support your pet’s footing.

What matters most

Four levels create a step-by-step route to a higher surface, helping small dogs and cats access a bed or sofa without needing to jump straight up. Built-in side rails add support along the stairs, and the non-slip mats provide a cushioned surface underfoot. This combination makes the stairs useful for older pets and those with mobility challenges, as well as smaller pets that benefit from an easier way to reach their usual spot.

The polypropylene construction is easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. No assembly is required, so the stairs can be set up for use without putting parts together. Customers often describe them as easy to use and sturdy, feedback on stability is mixed, and some buyers would prefer deeper steps. These comments can help guide how you introduce the stairs to your pet and where you place them.

Fit and sizing

The stairs measure 62 x 38 x 49.5 cm when open, with a step size of 33 x 16 x 12.5 cm. Their four levels provide a gradual route beside a bed or sofa, and the built-in side rails run along the sides to help keep a pet on the steps. Check the open dimensions against the space beside your furniture so the stairs sit where your pet can approach them comfortably.

When folded, they measure 77.2 x 38 x 12.6 cm, making them easier to store than a fixed set of pet steps. The 2.1 kg weight also makes it practical to move them between rooms or pack them for a trip. Their dark brown colour works as a discreet addition beside furniture in a bedroom or living room.

Usage tips

Place the stairs on a level surface beside the bed or sofa, with the top step positioned to meet the surface your pet is trying to reach. Give your pet time to explore the steps at its own pace, and stay nearby as it gets used to the route. The soft mats are designed to provide a non-slip surface, while the side rails offer additional support during each climb.

For everyday use, leave the stairs beside your pet’s regular resting place. When they’re not needed, fold them for storage or transport. Wipe the mats and plastic surfaces with a damp cloth and mild soap to keep them clean. Unlike a fixed set of steps that stays in one place, this folding design can be moved to suit changing routines around the home.
