KYG 6442BB1 Dog Car Seat Cover, Waterproof and Detachable with Non-Slip Backing

Waterproof, scratch-resistant protection helps keep paw prints, mud and pet hair off your vehicle’s back seat. The KYG cover combines layered materials with a non-slip underside for a more secure fit during everyday trips.

Its detachable zipper design lets you divide the cover into separate sections, or open both zippers to lower the centre armrest. That flexibility makes it easier to adapt the seating area to your passengers and travel plans.

Sized at 135 x 128 cm, it is designed for the back seats of most standard cars, trucks and SUVs. An included dog seat belt adds a practical restraint option for travelling with a pet.

Worth noting

The cover brings together 600D Oxford cloth, thick PVC, PP cotton, a 210D Oxford lining and a non-slip PVC base. The waterproof, scratch-resistant surface helps shield upholstery from wet paws, dirt and everyday pet-related mess, while the non-slip backing, seat anchors and adjustable strap beneath the seat help keep the cover in place. Use a damp cloth or vacuum to clean it.

A long side zipper allows the cover to separate into two sections, which can be useful when the back seat needs a different arrangement. Opening both zippers also provides access to the centre armrest. Rather than a fixed, one-piece layout, this design gives you a way to adjust the covered area to suit the trip. Buyers often highlight ease of installation, pet protection and zipper function, feedback on fit is mixed, so the stated size and vehicle type are useful points to consider when choosing a seat cover.

How to use it

Position the cover across the back seat, secure the adjustable strap beneath the seat and fit the seat anchors. The non-slip PVC backing helps it stay positioned against the upholstery. For a setup that leaves the centre armrest accessible, open both zippers, the side zipper can also separate the cover into two sections. When travelling with a dog, use the included dog seat belt as part of your pet’s travel setup. For routine cleanup, wipe the surface with a damp cloth or vacuum away loose hair and dirt.

Best use cases

This cover is suited to car journeys with dogs when you want a barrier between paws and the upholstery, as well as a surface that can be cleaned after muddy walks. Its waterproof construction and scratch-resistant finish are practical for regular pet transport, while the adjustable layout helps accommodate different uses of the back seat. The product is also described for protecting seats while travelling with children, including when a child car seat is in use. It suits you if you want a detachable cover with a split design rather than a fixed bench-style protector.
