JBL True Wireless Earbuds Endurance Peak 3
Product description
How to use it
The ear-hook enhancer is the defining feature here: it gives the JBL Endurance Peak 3 a workout-focused shape designed to stay in place during active use. Pair that with IP68 dust and water protection, and these true wireless earbuds are built for more than a quiet commute. They also offer Ambient Aware to help you stay alert to your surroundings and TalkThru for hearing calls without removing them.

Picture heading out for a run, then taking a call without pausing to pull an earbud out. That’s the kind of routine these features suit.

The hook is also a design trade-off. If you prefer a low-profile earbud without anything wrapping around the ear, a conventional in-ear style may feel like a better match.

Pros
JBL’s Pure Bass Sound comes from a 10 mm dynamic driver, which puts bass-forward listening front and centre for workout playlists. Battery life is another practical advantage: playback is listed at up to 10 hours from the earbuds, with another 40 hours in the case, for up to 50 hours total. A 10-minute speed charge is stated to provide up to an hour of playback.

The water and dust rating broadens where you can use them. IP68 protection is described for rain, workouts and rinsing after exercise, the stated water protection also covers up to 30 minutes at depths of up to 1.5 metres in salt or fresh water. Four microphones, with dual beamforming mics in each earbud, are intended to help keep calls clear, including in windy conditions.
Is that enough to make them a fit for every active listener? Not necessarily: the ear-hook format is useful if you want that more secure, sport-oriented design, but it is less appealing if you want earbuds that disappear visually. It makes sense if workouts, extended listening and awareness of your surroundings are priorities. It’s not for you if an ear hook is a deal-breaker or you want a simpler, low-profile shape.

What I’d consider

The Endurance Peak 3 makes most sense if you want workout earbuds with an ear hook, long stated total playback and dust and water protection. It has a more activity-focused design than standard earbuds without a hook, while features such as Ambient Aware and TalkThru add practical options for runs or gym sessions. The main reason to pass is fit preference: the listing gives no sizing details, and the hook itself may not suit everyone. If you value a discreet shape above a workout-oriented hold, look elsewhere, if the hook works for you, its stated battery and protection features make it a purposeful choice for active listening.
