Compatibility & requirements
The USB port can charge compatible devices such as smartphones and tablets, while the headphone jack lets you listen through headphones. For everyday radio listening, choose AM or FM, for weather information, use the WB/NOAA band and its channel scan. The radio can draw power from its rechargeable battery, solar charging, or the hand crank, offering a different approach from a radio that relies on a single power source. Keep the included USB cable with your emergency supplies so it is ready when you want to connect a device.
Everyday use
At home, keep the radio with your storm or outage supplies to hear weather broadcasts and use the flashlight if the power goes out. The SOS alarm, which pairs a siren with a flashing red light, provides a signaling feature for urgent situations. On a camping or hiking trip, its compact dimensions make it easier to stow in a bag, while the AM/FM bands offer radio listening and the headphone jack supports a more personal listening setup.
The hand crank and solar power options are useful alternatives when access to a usual charging setup is inconvenient. A rechargeable battery stores power for use, and the USB port adds a way to charge a compatible phone or tablet. Buyers have also highlighted the hand-crank function, flashlight, and usefulness for emergency preparation and camping. These are customer impressions, while the radio’s documented features provide the practical basis for choosing it.

It suits home emergency kits as well as camping and other outdoor use, with the USB port adding a convenient way to connect compatible mobile devices when needed.
