Tonfarb A12 Digital Voice Recorder, 64GB, Voice Activation and Playback
Product description
Choosing a recorder for quick notes is different from choosing one for close listening and detailed audio work. The Tonfarb A12 is built around one-touch recording, a 64GB memory card, and playback features for lectures, meetings, classes, and interviews. It records in MP3 or WAV, so you can choose between a smaller file format and higher-bitrate WAV recording, listed up to 1536 kbps.
Its compact body measures 0.47 inches deep, 1.45 inches wide, and 4 inches high, with a 1.44-inch screen for navigating files and settings. It also works as an MP3 player and connects to a computer by USB for transferring recordings.
Everyday use
The side control is designed to start recording with a push and save with another, including when the recorder is powered off. That straightforward approach may suit someone who wants to capture a class or meeting without moving through menus first. Voice activation can start and stop recording according to sound levels, while scheduled recording and file segmentation offer additional ways to organize capture.
For reviewing material, A-B repeat loops a selected passage, and bookmarking can help return to a point in a recording. A 3.5 mm headphone jack supports listening directly from the device. Line-in recording is also listed, with a cable included, for recording audio from a connected source rather than through the built-in microphone.
Why it’s worth it
The A12 combines recording, playback, voice activation, and password protection in one device. The included 64GB TF memory card is listed as already inserted, and the package also includes a microphone cable, USB cable, line-in cable, and user manual. That makes it a more self-contained choice than a basic recorder focused only on capturing and saving audio.
Buyer feedback is mixed on sound and reliability. Some customers describe recordings as clear and find file transfer easy, while others report noisy or choppy playback or problems with the device working consistently. Those reports are worth weighing if you need dependable, high-detail audio for important sessions, the listed WAV option does not guarantee a particular result in every recording environment.

The published battery figures are not consistent: the technical specifications list 32 hours of average battery life, while the product description claims up to 48 hours of continuous recording at the lowest MP3 setting. Treat the longer figure as a stated maximum tied to that recording setting, not a general runtime expectation.
Is it worth it?
Worth considering if you want a small recorder for everyday lectures, meetings, or interviews and value quick controls plus playback tools. It’s not for you if consistent sound quality and reliability are essential, since buyer experiences on both points are divided. Compared with a simpler recorder that only captures audio, the A12 offers more ways to record and review, for demanding audio work, a device with independently established recording performance may be a better fit.
