Valuetoner Black Ink Cartridges 2-Pack

For households, students, and home offices printing mostly text, this two-pack of Valuetoner 65XL black ink cartridges is a replacement option for select HP printers. Both cartridges are remanufactured, so this is not a set of original HP cartridges.

The practical appeal is straightforward: keep a spare black cartridge nearby and avoid running out in the middle of a document. The listed yield is up to 669 pages, based on 5% coverage of A4 paper.

If you prioritize having two black cartridges on hand, this pack makes sense, if you prefer original-brand supplies, look for a different replacement approach.

Getting the most from it

These cartridges are intended for black-and-white printing, such as homework, forms, shipping documents, and everyday pages where color is not needed. For example, if a printer starts producing faded text while you are preparing paperwork, having the second cartridge ready can make the replacement less disruptive.

Valuetoner lists compatibility with selected HP DeskJet 3700 and 2600 series models, ENVY 5000 series models, and AMP models. The named printers include the DeskJet 3755, 3758, 3720, 3722, 3723, 2652, and 2655, plus the ENVY 5055, 5052, and 5058. Match the full printer model to the supplied compatibility list before buying, sharing a series name alone does not establish that every printer will work with this cartridge.

Why it’s worth it

The pack includes two remanufactured black cartridges with an updated chip. The listing says the chip reports ink levels and describes the cartridges as compatible with the listed printers. That can be useful if you want an ink-level readout rather than relying only on printed pages to spot a low cartridge. Valuetoner also says each cartridge goes through quality testing, though the listing does not provide independent test results.

The stated yield is a maximum estimate, not a promise of the same number of pages in every home. It is calculated at 5% coverage of A4 paper, so pages with dense text, large graphics, or heavy black areas can use ink faster. From the way it is set up, this pack favors routine document printing over a buyer seeking original-brand cartridges or a guaranteed page count for a specific workload. It’s a great fit if your printer appears on the compatibility list and you want two black replacements in one pack.

The essentials

• Type: Remanufactured 65XL black ink cartridges
• Format: Two-cartridge pack
• Stated yield: Up to 669 pages at 5% coverage of A4 paper
• Compatibility: Selected HP DeskJet 3700 and 2600 series, ENVY 5000 series, and AMP models

A specific limitation is compatibility: the product name highlights a few popular models, but the full list is broader and still selective. It’s not for you if your printer model is not listed, or if you specifically want an original HP cartridge. The page-yield figure is also an estimate tied to a stated coverage level, so it should not be treated as a fixed refill interval.

Buying verdict

Choose this Valuetoner two-pack if you have a listed HP model, mainly print in black, and value keeping a spare cartridge ready. The two-cartridge format is more practical than buying a single replacement when you want to reduce the chance of being caught without ink. Skip it if original-brand supplies are a requirement, or if your printer is outside the stated compatibility list, neither the updated chip claim nor the broad model coverage removes the need to match your exact printer.
