Product description

Key specifications

If you need to connect several HDMI devices to one screen, a switch is a different solution from a splitter: it lets you choose one source at a time rather than show multiple sources together. This UGREEN model has three inputs and one output, so you can leave a console, streaming device, and another HDMI source connected instead of swapping cables.

It supports up to 8K at 60Hz and 4K at 240Hz, with 40Gbps bandwidth. The listed features also include VRR, G-Sync, FreeSync, HDR10+, HDCP 2.3, and Dolby Atmos. These are supported formats and features, not a guarantee that every connected device and display will use them, the full signal path needs to support the format you want. For 8K at 60Hz, the listed guidance is to keep both input and output HDMI 8K cables within 3m. The cables themselves are not included.

Who it’s for

Detalle de UGREEN HDMI switch

This is aimed at a TV or monitor setup where HDMI ports are in short supply and you regularly alternate between sources. For example, you could keep a PS5, streaming stick, and computer plugged into the switch, then select the source you want from the couch with the remote. A button on the unit is also available, and three LED indicators show which input is active.

It makes sense if you want a single-display setup with fewer cable changes and manual control over which source is showing. It supports compatible devices such as PS5, PS4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, computers, Roku, and Fire Stick, along with HDMI displays, monitors, and projectors. Not the best choice if you need automatic source switching, ARC/eARC, or video on multiple displays at the same time, those uses are not supported.

In the box

The package includes the HDMI switch, a USB-A to USB-C power cable, a remote, and a user manual. The switch must stay connected to a power source while in use. A power adapter is not included, and neither are HDMI cables, the remote also has no battery included. That means you may need to supply those separately before setting up, especially if your current cables aren’t suitable for the resolution and refresh rate you plan to use.

Can it show two sources on separate screens at once? No. It switches among three inputs for one output, it does not display images on multiple monitors simultaneously.

Does it change inputs automatically? No. Select a source with the remote or the button on the switch. The LED indicators help identify the active input.

Does the package include everything needed to connect it? It includes a USB power cable, but not a power adapter or HDMI cables. You’ll need a power source and compatible HDMI cables for your setup.

When it makes sense

On the spec sheet, the high refresh-rate support and gaming features make this worth considering if your display and source devices can also support the modes you want. For everyday streaming or console use, the practical benefit is simpler source selection, for a more demanding setup, cable capability and the connected equipment matter just as much as the switch.

Choose it when one display needs to serve several HDMI sources and you’re comfortable switching manually. Look elsewhere if your setup depends on ARC/eARC, automatic switching, or simultaneous multi-screen output. Those limits are more likely to decide whether this fits than its headline resolution support.
