Timink TN830XL Black Toner Cartridge 4-Pack, Up to 3,000 Pages Each

For owners of a listed Brother printer who need replacement black toner, the Timink TN830XL is a compatible four-cartridge pack. It’s intended for home, office, and business printing, with each cartridge rated for up to 3,000 pages under the stated ISO conditions.

The four cartridges add up to a stated total yield of 12,000 pages, making this a bulk purchase rather than a single-cartridge replacement.

Strengths

The main advantage is having multiple cartridges on hand: the package contains four black TN830XL cartridges, each rated for up to 3,000 pages. The manufacturer bases that figure on 5% page coverage, so actual yield depends on how much of each page is printed. Dense graphics or heavily filled pages may use toner differently from standard text documents.

For routine black-and-white documents, the product is described as providing black text output. Its high-yield format may suit a household or office that prints regularly and prefers keeping replacement toner available. Compared with buying one cartridge at a time, this pack provides four replacements in a single purchase, though it only makes sense if the printer model is supported and you expect to use the extra cartridges.

What matters most

Compatibility is the key buying check. The listed models include Brother DCP-L2640DW and DCP-L2647DW, HL-L2400D, HL-L2405W, HL-L2420DW, HL-L2460DW, HL-L2460DWXL, HL-L2465DW, HL-L2467DW, HL-L2480DW, and HL-L2865DW, plus MFC-L2760DW, MFC-L2807DW, MFC-L2820DW, MFC-L2820DWXL, MFC-L2900DW, MFC-L2900DWXL, and MFC-L2980DW. What should you check before choosing a four-pack? Match the printer’s full model number against this list rather than assuming that any Brother printer using a TN830-series cartridge will work.

This is a compatible replacement, not a Brother-branded cartridge. That distinction may matter if you specifically want the printer manufacturer’s own toner, if you’re considering a compatible option, the stated yield and exact model match are more useful selection criteria than the pack size alone.

Usage tips

The cartridges are described as easy to install, and the manufacturer refers buyers to an installation video. Follow the printer’s cartridge replacement procedure and check the model number before opening the pack. The product information also notes that an “Not Brother Toner” message may appear during installation and advises selecting “Yes” to continue. That message is worth knowing about if you prefer an installation without a compatibility prompt.

Buying verdict

It makes sense if you own one of the listed printers, use black toner regularly, and want four replacements rated at up to 3,000 pages each. The stated 12,000-page total is based on 5% coverage, not a guaranteed amount for every print mix. You may want to skip it if your printer model is not listed or if you only need one replacement cartridge, in those cases, the larger pack may not match your needs.
