Selieve T-388 Kids Walkie Talkies, 22 Channels, Backlit LCD and Flashlight

With 22 channels and a built-in flashlight, the Selieve T-388 gives kids a simple way to stay in touch during play and adds a handy light for exploring dim spaces. Push-to-talk controls make conversations straightforward, while the backlit LCD helps children see the display when the light is low.

The two-radio set is designed for indoor and outdoor activities, from coordinating a game at home to keeping in touch during a camping trip. Call alerts, adjustable volume, and a key lock add useful controls for everyday family use.

Tips for day-to-day use

Choose a channel for the group, then use the push-to-talk button to send a message. The set has 22 main channels and 99 CTCSS sub-codes, giving families more settings to choose from and helping reduce the likelihood of communication from others using the same frequency. The key lock helps prevent children from accidentally changing channels while handling the radio.

For a backyard game or a walk around a campsite, kids can carry the compact radios and use the call alert to get the other person’s attention before speaking. Adjustable volume makes it easier to set the sound for the setting, and the built-in flashlight can help when play moves into a darker area. These radios are intended for children ages 3–12 and are also suited to family outings such as shopping, spring outings, and camping.

Buyers often praise the clear sound, reception, and kid-friendly operation, and some mention giving the set as a gift. Feedback on durability is mixed, and some buyers report that the batteries drain quickly. Keeping spare batteries available can help families prepare for longer outings.

Pros

The T-388 combines simple push-to-talk operation with features that make the radios more versatile than a basic set focused only on voice communication. The call alert is useful when a child needs to get a family member’s attention, while the flashlight adds a practical function for low-light moments. The channel and sub-code options give families settings to use when several people are communicating, and the key lock helps keep those settings in place during play.

For parents choosing between a simple toy radio and a set with extra controls, the backlit display, flashlight, and call alert are the main distinctions here. The pair is designed for shared activities, so children can communicate with each other or with family members carrying the second radio.

Practical questions
