BAOFENG T18 4-Pack FRS Two-Way Radios, 22 Channels, NOAA Alerts, USB-C

A group that needs a simple way to stay in touch outdoors can use these four BAOFENG T18 radios to communicate without relying on individual phone calls. The set combines 22 FRS channels with NOAA weather alerts and hands-free VOX. For a campsite or family outing, that means a shared way to coordinate, for a group covering more open ground, the stated range varies with the surroundings.

Tips for day-to-day use

Choose a shared channel before splitting up so everyone in the group can communicate on the same one. The radios have 22 FRS channels, a channel-scan function, volume adjustment, and a keypad lock to help keep settings from changing during use. Dual push-to-talk buttons accommodate left- or right-handed grips, including operation with gloves, while VOX enables hands-free communication for activities such as hiking, riding, or climbing.

Range depends on the environment. The product lists up to 0.6 miles in neighborhoods, 1 mile in suburban and campsite settings, and up to 3 miles on flat, open land, buildings, trees, and hills can shorten communication distance. NOAA weather alerts add a useful source of severe-weather warnings when planning an outdoor outing. A built-in flashlight, large LCD screen, and low-battery alarm round out the features for everyday group use.

If your priority is keeping a group connected without coordinating separate calls, these shared radios offer a straightforward alternative to relying on individual phones. Buyers have praised their use for family activities and road trips, along with sound and battery life. Feedback on range is mixed, so the listed distances are best understood in relation to the terrain and obstructions.

VOX is useful when hands are occupied, and the flashlight and NOAA alert feature add practical functions for camping, hiking, and travel.
