ROYHOME Mushroom Black Brown 2x3 Washable Low-Pile Insect Rug

At 2' x 3', the ROYHOME Mushroom Black Brown rug is sized for a small indoor area, such as an entryway, beside a bed, or in a kitchen.

Its black-and-brown print combines mushrooms, insects, and plants for a more decorative look than a plain doormat.

The machine-made rug has a faux-wool surface, a low pile, and a TPE rubber backing. It is designed to be machine washable, though buyer feedback on how it holds up after washing is mixed.

Why it makes sense

This rug is a compact accent as much as a floor covering. Its nature-inspired pattern can add visual interest to a smaller spot without the footprint of a room-size area rug. The rectangular 2' x 3' format is also easier to place near a doorway or in a narrow patch of open floor than a larger rug.

Need a small mat that stands out from a basic solid-color option? The mushroom and insect artwork gives this one a distinct style, while the low pile helps keep its profile slim. The backing is TPE rubber, and the product is intended for indoor use. It is not water resistant, so a bathroom or entryway placement should be a dry indoor use rather than a substitute for a mat meant to handle standing water.

Key takeaways

The main appeal is the combination of a playful woodland print and a washable, low-pile format. The listed dimensions are 36"L x 24"W, and the rug is sold as one piece. Its small size suits a defined area, but it is not intended to cover much floor, shoppers looking to anchor a larger room would need a larger-format rug instead.

Customer feedback is favorable about the colors, staying in place on tile, and ease of cleaning. Thickness, size, flatness, and durability receive more mixed comments: some buyers find the rug thinner or narrower than they wanted, and reports differ on how well it holds up to washing and whether fold lines smooth out. Those impressions are useful context, but they do not replace the listed construction and care details.

Care tips

The care instructions say the rug is machine washable. For small spills, the product details also describe wiping the surface with a cloth, for larger messes, follow the machine-wash care instruction. No water-resistance claim is listed, so keep the rug in a dry indoor setting rather than relying on it to absorb or repel water.

If it arrives with creases, the manufacturer recommends rolling it backward or laying it flat for 24–48 hours. Gentle steaming is also suggested to help the rug smooth out. Since buyer comments on lasting flatness vary, allow time for the rug to settle before deciding whether its placement works for you.

Practical questions

Where can this rug be used? It is listed for indoor use, with rooms including entryways, kitchens, bedrooms, living rooms, and bathrooms. Its 2' x 3' size is best suited to a smaller floor area.

Can it be washed? Yes. The care instructions specify machine washing. Buyers often mention that cleaning is easy, although feedback about durability after washing is mixed.

Does it have a thick, cushioned feel? It is described as low pile and is listed at 0.2 inches thick. Buyers’ comments often characterize it as thin, so it is better approached as a slim decorative mat than a plush rug.

Buying verdict

It’s a great fit if you want a compact indoor rug with a distinctive mushroom-and-insect design, a low profile, and machine-wash care. It’s not for you if you need water resistance, broad floor coverage, or a noticeably thick, cushioned rug. The deciding trade-off is its unusual print and easy-care format versus the mixed buyer feedback on thickness, creasing, and durability.
