GENIMO Area 8' x 10' Washable Low-Pile Floral Area Rug, Turquoise/Ivory
Product description
A low-pile, flat-woven surface makes this rug easier to place beneath furniture and near doorways than a taller-pile style. Its turquoise-and-ivory vintage floral pattern adds color without relying on a plain, solid design. The TPR backing is intended to help limit slipping on indoor floors. At 8' x 10', it covers a larger living-room or bedroom area.

How to use it
This is an area rug for defining a seating zone, adding a layer beneath a dining table, or softening the floor in a bedroom or home office. The low profile can make placement under furniture and around doors more practical than a thicker, higher-pile rug. Its patterned surface offers a decorative alternative to a basic solid-color floor covering, while the size suits rooms where a small accent rug would leave much of the floor exposed.
The manufacturer describes the backing as non-slip and the surface as stain- and spill-resistant. Those features may be useful for everyday indoor traffic, but they do not make the rug waterproof: the listed water-resistance level is “Not Water Resistant.” For a dining area, wipe or spot-clean messes according to the care label rather than treating the rug as a barrier against liquid reaching the floor.
Usage tips
The product information says the rug can be machine washed on a cold, gentle cycle, while the care details also mention hand washing and spot cleaning. Follow the care label for the specific rug. The manufacturer advises using a large-capacity or commercial washer for a rug this size if a home washer is not suitable, and recommends laying it flat to dry while avoiding bleach and high heat.
Because it is folded for shipping, creases may be present on arrival. The provided guidance suggests reverse-rolling the rug, placing heavy objects on the folds, or using an iron on low heat. Color can also look slightly different under different lighting or screen settings. Buyers commonly praise the appearance, soft feel, washable design, and grip, but feedback on thickness is mixed: some appreciate the slight cushion, while others find it thinner than expected.
Should you buy it?
It makes sense if you want a large, patterned indoor rug with a low profile and a backing designed to help it stay put. Its washable-care guidance is also relevant for households that expect to clean the rug periodically, provided they can follow the label and accommodate its size when washing. Compared with a thicker rug chosen mainly for plush cushioning, this one emphasizes a flatter profile and easier placement, the stated thickness is 0.32 inches. Better avoided if you need a water-resistant rug or specifically want a thick, substantial layer underfoot. Consider the turquoise-and-ivory palette in your room’s lighting, since the color may appear different from what a screen shows.
