ExpediX 9x12 Area Rug, Washable Polyester, Beige Brown Medallion
Product description
If you need a large rug that can be machine washed, the ExpediX 9' x 12' area rug combines a beige-brown medallion pattern with a low-pile polyester surface. Its rectangular footprint is suited to anchoring a living room arrangement or covering a broad area in a bedroom, dining room, hallway, or home office.
The design leans classic, while the neutral colors can work with vintage, bohemian, or contemporary decor. For a practical everyday rug, it prioritizes easy care and a soft surface over the deeper cushioning of a thicker style.
Size & fit
At 144 inches long by 108 inches wide, this is a substantial floor covering rather than a small accent rug. It may suit a room where you want one defined surface beneath furniture or an open area for walking and play. Measure the intended space before choosing it, especially if the rug needs to sit around existing furniture or clear a doorway.
The rug is 0.32 inches thick and has a low pile, so it offers a flatter profile than a deep-pile rug. That can be useful where a softer, less bulky floor layer is preferred, though shoppers looking primarily for plush cushioning may want to compare thicker options. Its rubber backing is described as non-slip, the product is intended for indoor use and is not water resistant.
Benefits
The polyester surface is described as soft, stain resistant, and non-shedding, with machine washing listed for care. That combination may appeal in a busy household where surface marks and routine upkeep matter. For everyday dust, the product information also recommends low-power vacuuming. The rug is foldable and lightweight, which may be useful when it needs to be moved for cleaning.
The beige-brown medallion pattern gives the room a traditional focal point without relying on a bright color. Buyer feedback often praises the appearance, softness, and grip, while comments about thickness are mixed: some find it comfortable and substantial enough, while others would prefer more padding. The listed 0.32-inch thickness is a useful reference if underfoot cushioning is a priority.
You’ll appreciate it if you want a large, washable indoor rug with a soft surface and a classic pattern. It’s not for you if you need a water-resistant rug for damp areas, the product is specifically listed as not water resistant. For a high-traffic room, its low pile and rubber backing offer a different approach from choosing a thicker, more cushioned rug.

Practical questions
Can it be machine washed? Yes. Machine washing is listed in the care instructions, low-power vacuuming is also suggested for surface maintenance.
Will it stay in place on hard flooring? It has a rubber backing described as non-slip. Buyer comments also mention that the rug stays put, though results can depend on the floor and how it is used.
Should I expect it to lie flat immediately? The product information says wrinkles may be present after unpacking and should smooth out over time. A low-heat iron is suggested as an option for faster smoothing.
Is it worth it?
This rug is most compelling for shoppers who want a large, soft-looking floor covering with a traditional beige-brown design and machine-washable care. Its low pile and stated thickness make it easier to compare with more heavily cushioned rugs: choose this one for a flatter profile and practical upkeep, not as a substitute for a thick, plush rug. Also allow for slight color differences between the rug and product images due to lighting and screen displays.
