REOLINK Duo 3 PoE Dual-Lens Security Camera, 16MP 180° View, Color Night Vision

The dual-lens format gives the REOLINK Duo 3 PoE a 180° panoramic view, combining two image sensors to cover a broad outdoor area in one camera. Its 16MP resolution and motion tracking help you review activity across the scene, while person, vehicle, and animal detection can make motion alerts more relevant.

For a driveway or yard, that wide view serves a different need than a camera aimed at one narrow entry point: it captures a broader scene from a single mounting location.

Product specs

The camera records at 7680 × 2160 resolution at up to 20 FPS, with a horizontal 180° and vertical 55° field of view. Motion Track presents a target’s movement over time in one image, so you can scan its path rather than search through an entire recording. Color night vision uses an F1.6 lens, with infrared night vision available up to 100 feet.

Smart detection identifies people, vehicles, and animals, and the camera can send push or email alerts when motion is detected. Two-way talk through the Reolink app or client lets you communicate with someone near the camera. Recording options include motion-based, scheduled, and 24/7 recording, a microSD card up to 512GB or a compatible Reolink NVR can be used for storage. Smart playback supports up to 16× speed, and time-lapse condenses longer events for quicker review.

For outdoor placement, the camera has an IP67 waterproof rating and supports wall or ceiling mounting. Its PoE connection carries data and power over one cable when connected to PoE equipment. A PoE NVR, switch, or injector is not included, so plan the connection around the PoE equipment you use.

Buyers often praise the image clarity, panoramic coverage, and person, vehicle, and animal detection. Feedback on color night vision is mixed: some appreciate the full-color view, while others mention dark shadow areas.

Everyday compatibility

The Duo 3 PoE connects over Ethernet and can be controlled with the Reolink app or client. It supports iOS and Android phones, as well as Windows and Mac computers, supported browsers include Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Its wired PoE setup suits an installation where a network cable can reach the mounting location and PoE equipment can supply power.

Best use cases

Choose the Duo 3 PoE when you want a broad outdoor view of a driveway, yard, or other open area, along with recordings that help show how detected activity moves through the scene. Motion zones let you customize where motion is monitored, while smart detection helps distinguish people, vehicles, and animals from other movement. In a practical setup, mounting it to overlook a driveway can bring the entrance and surrounding approach into one panoramic view. A narrower-view camera may suit a single focused point, this dual-lens design is aimed at covering more of the surrounding scene.

Should you buy it?

It’s a great fit if you want a wired outdoor camera with panoramic coverage, motion tracking, and flexible recording choices. Its dual-lens view is the key reason to choose it for monitoring a wider area, while PoE keeps data and power on one cable when paired with suitable equipment.
