REOLINK Argus 3 Pro+SP Wireless Outdoor Camera, 5MP Color Night Vision

Watch an outdoor entryway or driveway with the REOLINK Argus 3 Pro+SP, a wireless security camera bundled with a solar panel. Its 5MP resolution and color night vision help capture detail in both daytime and low-light scenes.

With dual-band Wi-Fi, the camera can connect over 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Person, vehicle, and animal detection helps focus alerts on activity around your property.

Local recording gives you a way to save footage without a monthly subscription. Pair the camera with a microSD card or a compatible Home Hub for a storage setup that suits your monitoring needs.

Practical tips

Fully charge the camera before installation, then use the Bluetooth-assisted setup to pair it with Wi-Fi. Choose a mounting position that gives you a useful view of the area you want to monitor, such as a side entrance or driveway. The camera is designed for outdoor use and has an IP65 rating.

Set detection and alert preferences for your space, including whether to use the siren, spotlight, and recording options. For local storage, the camera supports a microSD card up to 512GB. A Home Hub or Home Hub Pro is another option, connecting through a hub enables RTSP and Home Assistant support. The hub and microSD card are sold separately.

Pros

The wire-free camera and included solar panel suit outdoor locations where running a power cord would be inconvenient. Color night vision, supported by IR lights and spotlights, gives you a choice of color or black-and-white night monitoring. Dual-band Wi-Fi offers the flexibility to connect on 2.4GHz or 5GHz, while local storage provides an alternative to subscription-based recording.

Buyers praise the picture clarity and night vision, while feedback on setup and battery life is mixed. Some also report connection dropouts and delays before recording begins, so these experiences vary. The camera’s adjustable detection and alert settings let you tailor notifications to the activity you want to monitor.

Key features

The Argus 3 Pro+SP records 5MP video at 2560 × 1440 resolution. It uses CMOS photo sensor technology and provides color night vision as well as black-and-white night vision. Person, vehicle, and animal detection can help distinguish common types of activity near the camera.

Wireless connectivity supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi. For recording, use a microSD card with capacity up to 512GB or connect a compatible Home Hub or Home Hub Pro, which supports storage up to 16TB. With a hub connection, RTSP and Home Assistant support add options for integrating local monitoring into a broader setup. The manufacturer also lists time-lapse recording for capturing longer changes over time.

Final verdict

It suits you if you want a wire-free outdoor camera with a solar panel, color night vision, and person, vehicle, and animal detection. Its local-storage options and Home Hub compatibility make it a practical fit for monitoring an entryway, yard, or driveway while choosing how footage is stored.
