REOLINK Argus PT Ultra-B+SP 4K Solar Security Camera, Pan/Tilt, Color Night Vision
Product description
Pros
A 4K, 8MP image gives the REOLINK Argus PT Ultra-B+SP the detail to capture outdoor activity, while color night vision and a motion-activated spotlight help keep important visual details visible after dark. Its pan-and-tilt movement and auto-tracking can follow motion across a wider area than a fixed-view camera.
The camera connects over dual-band 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi and uses solar power with a detachable panel, so installation can be wireless. Motion detection can identify people, vehicles, and animals, with customizable detection zones and alerts through the app, spotlight, or siren.
Key takeaways
For monitoring an entry, yard, or other outdoor area, the camera combines 4K video with pan-and-tilt coverage and motion tracking. Color night vision has a stated range of 33 feet, and video is captured in MP4 at 15 frames per second. The camera is rated IP64 for outdoor use.
Recordings can be saved locally to a microSD card up to 512GB, or through a compatible Reolink Home Hub, FTP storage is also listed. Local storage options let you manage footage without a monthly subscription. The Reolink app provides smartphone control, and amazon Alexa is listed as a controller option.
Installation uses a screw-in mount, with wall and ceiling brackets listed among the included items. For example, mount the camera near a driveway or garage entrance, set a detection zone around the area you want to monitor, and use app alerts to check activity. Compared with a fixed camera, pan-and-tilt movement offers a more adjustable view when activity may happen in different parts of the scene.
Everyday use
The detachable solar panel supports a wireless outdoor setup, while the camera can also be charged through a USB-A to USB-C cable. Position the panel where it can receive sunlight, then use the app to adjust the camera’s view and detection zones for the space. Dual-band Wi-Fi gives you a choice of 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz connection, depending on your network setup.
Buyers praise the picture clarity and straightforward installation. Feedback is mixed on Wi-Fi stability, solar charging, motion detection, and value, with some also reporting durability concerns. These experiences vary, so use the camera’s supported local-storage options and app controls to suit your monitoring setup.
