ProtoArc Foldable Keyboard 88-Key

For tablet and phone users who want a more laptop-like way to work, the ProtoArc XK01 TP combines an 88-key keyboard with a multi-touch trackpad, phone stand, and carrying pouch. Its tri-fold design is meant to reduce the number of separate accessories you need to bring along, especially when typing and pointer control both matter.

It also switches among three Bluetooth devices, so you can move between a phone, tablet, and laptop without pairing again each time. The trade-off is that the listing gives no folded dimensions, which makes it harder to judge how neatly it will fit in your bag.

How it fits

This keyboard makes the most sense for mobile work that involves more than quick replies. Picture setting your phone on the built-in stand at a café, opening a longer message, then using the trackpad to select text instead of reaching for the screen. The keyboard-and-mouse combination can also help when a tablet is your main device and you want a more familiar desktop-style setup.

The 88-key layout and 0.65-inch keycaps are larger than those on many compact foldable keyboards, according to the product details. That may suit someone who finds very small travel keyboards cramped, while the folding format still keeps the setup focused on portability. But a keyboard that folds is not automatically a pocket-sized one, without that measurement, the actual packed footprint is difficult to assess.

Pros

• Keyboard and pointer in one: The multi-touch trackpad supports gestures, so there is no need to pack a separate mouse for basic navigation.
• Roomier compact layout: An 88-key arrangement, 0.65-inch keycaps, and a full shortcut row are aimed at more comfortable typing than a very minimal travel keyboard.
• Useful for switching devices: Bluetooth 5.1 supports connections to three devices, with quick switching described for phones, tablets, and laptops.
• Travel details included: The tri-fold design, phone stand, and PU leather carrying pouch bring several mobile-work essentials together.
• Designed to conserve battery: It charges over USB-C, has a stated 120-day standby time, and enters smart sleep after 60 minutes of inactivity. Folding it powers it off.

The main compromise is the missing size information: shoppers who need to know exactly how much room it takes up when folded have less to go on. It also adds little for someone who already prefers a separate mouse or mostly types short notes directly on a phone.

Buying verdict

Worth considering if your mobile setup feels incomplete without a physical keyboard and pointer, or if you regularly switch between a phone, tablet, and laptop. Compared with carrying a compact keyboard and a separate mouse, this design consolidates those controls and adds a phone stand, that is the more compelling reason to choose it than folding alone.

Better avoided if exact packed dimensions are essential to your travel setup, or if you want a full-size desktop keyboard rather than a portable layout. The listed keycap size and key count offer useful clues, but they do not establish how the keyboard will feel for every typing style. If those details fit your needs, its all-in-one approach could make mobile work less fiddly, if size certainty or a dedicated mouse matters more, a different setup may suit you better.
