PLACHIDAY SmallShovel-Orange 3-in-1 Ultralight Backpacking Trowel

Some outdoor trips call for a compact tool that can ride in a backpack, other digging jobs need a larger shovel. The PLACHIDAY SmallShovel-Orange is designed for lightweight carry and practical tasks such as digging small holes, waste disposal, and light excavation.

Its ergonomic rubber handle and 1.6-ounce weight make it suited to hikers and campers who want a portable trowel for trail use. The orange color also makes it easier to spot among gear.

Use it for hiking, camping, wilderness outings, or light gardening. It offers a more packable approach than carrying a larger digging tool for small, occasional jobs.

Tech summary

This 3-in-1 trowel is intended for digging, waste disposal, and light excavation. The ergonomic, non-slip handle is shaped for a comfortable grip during use, while the compact design is made to stow in a backpack. At 1.6 ounces, it adds little weight to a hiking or camping setup. Its listed color is orange, and the handle material is rubber.

The blade is described as precisely sized for clearing soil, making the tool useful for smaller digging tasks around camp or in the garden. For a backpacking trip, it can be kept with other essentials and brought out when a small hole or spot cleanup is needed. Buyers also commonly praise its light feel, sturdiness, and usefulness across hiking and camping activities. Some report that the edges can feel sharp, so handle and stow the trowel with care.

Who it’s for

This trowel suits backpackers who want a dedicated digging tool without the bulk of a full-size shovel. Campers can use it for small holes and waste disposal, while gardeners may find it handy for light excavation. It also fits outdoor kits intended for general wilderness use, where portability matters alongside having a practical tool on hand.

It makes sense if your priority is a lightweight, easy-to-pack trowel for smaller jobs rather than a larger tool for extensive digging. The ergonomic handle supports a more controlled grip, and the orange finish helps distinguish it from darker gear when packing or setting up camp.
