SHAR POTS Pepper Spray, 6.7 oz Compact Canister for Hiking and Camping
Product description
Some outdoor safety buyers prioritize a compact item to carry on a hike, others need more detailed specifications before choosing. This SHAR POTS pepper spray is listed at 6.7 fluid ounces (200ml) and is intended for hiking and camping. The stated spray range is 2–5 meters. Maximum spraying time is 9 seconds, a limit worth considering when comparing options.
Key takeaways
The product is positioned as a portable personal-safety spray for outdoor activities and emergency preparedness. Its listed capacity is 6.7 fluid ounces, and the product information describes it as lightweight, compact, and designed for quick access. It also says the spray system is intended to be usable with less pushing force, which may matter to someone who finds stiff controls difficult. These are descriptive claims, not independent performance test results.
The listing gives two concrete figures that help frame the purchase: a 2–5 meter range and a maximum spraying time of 9 seconds. It does not provide dimensions or a specific carrying attachment, so the stated capacity alone cannot tell you how it will fit in a particular pocket, pack, or gear setup. The description identifies ingredients as derived from natural chili peppers, but that wording should not be taken as a guarantee of safe exposure.
Usage tips
For a hiking or camping kit, the quick-access positioning may appeal to someone who wants a personal-safety item kept within reach rather than buried among less frequently used gear. Think about where you would carry an item of this capacity and whether its listed range and maximum spray time match the product details you are seeking. The listing does not specify exact dimensions, a holster, or a particular mounting method, so it cannot confirm a fit for a chosen pocket or pack compartment.
Compared with selecting an item based on a measured pocket fit or a particular carry system, this listing emphasizes capacity, portability, and quick access. That makes those stated features the clearest basis for comparison, buyers who need confirmed measurements or a specified attachment will need details beyond those provided here.
Who it’s for
It suits you if you want a pepper spray described for hiking, camping, and general emergency preparedness, and the 6.7-fluid-ounce capacity works for the way you plan to carry it. The product may also be worth considering if an easy-to-press spray system is a priority, since the listing specifically describes it as designed for users with weaker pushing power.
It may not suit you if your decision depends on exact dimensions, a named carry accessory, or a different stated capacity: those details are not included. The maximum spraying time is also capped at 9 seconds, so compare that figure with your requirements rather than relying on the “maximum strength” wording in the product name alone.
What to clarify
What is the listed capacity? The product information gives a capacity of 6.7 fluid ounces, the product name also lists 200ml.
What range is stated? The listed flying distance is 2–5 meters.
What is the maximum spraying time? The product details state a maximum of 9 seconds.
When it makes sense
This spray makes the most sense for someone choosing an outdoor personal-safety item based on the stated capacity, range, portability, and quick-access design. A practical scenario is packing it as part of a hiking or camping setup where an emergency-preparedness item is meant to remain accessible. If your choice instead hinges on a precise fit, a particular carry method, or specifications beyond the listed range and spray time, those unanswered details should guide your comparison.
