Passky KFM42PLY5B03R1-2 42-Inch Low-Profile Ceiling Fan with Light
Product description
At 42 inches across and 10 inches high, the Passky KFM42PLY5B03R1-2 is a low-profile ceiling fan with a light designed to sit close to the ceiling. Its white finish keeps the look simple, while the reversible blades offer a choice of white or yellow wood grain.
Choose this fan-and-light combination when you want air circulation and overhead lighting from one fixture. If your priority is adjusting the room’s lighting for different activities, its dimmable light and three color temperatures offer more flexibility than a fixed-output light.
Six fan speeds, a reversible DC motor, and remote control put everyday adjustments within reach. The fan is intended for indoor use and covered outdoor areas such as patios or breezeways, outdoor placement should be protected from direct rain.
Practical tips
The flush-mount design is suited to rooms where a close-to-ceiling fan is a practical fit, including bedrooms. Installation is designed for an existing standard ceiling junction box, making it a potential replacement for a light fixture without adding new ceiling holes. Follow the included illustrated instructions for installation.
Use the remote to switch the fan and light on or off, select a speed, set the timer, and change the fan’s direction. The timer offers 1-, 2-, and 4-hour shutoff settings. The fan and light can be controlled separately with the remote, while the memory function recalls their previous settings when operated from a wall switch. Use a standard on/off wall switch, the DC motor should not be connected to a dimmer, fan-speed control, or smart switch.
Strengths
The 35 dB noise-level rating and six speed settings make it possible to choose a gentle breeze or stronger airflow while keeping control close at hand. Reversing the motor changes the direction of airflow for seasonal circulation, so the fan can serve a role beyond warm-weather cooling.
The light adjusts from 10% to 100% brightness and offers 3000K, 4500K, and 6000K color temperatures. That gives you options for a softer evening atmosphere or brighter light for tasks such as reading or homework. The two blade finishes also make it easier to coordinate the fixture with different room styles.
Customers commonly praise the fan’s appearance, airflow, quiet operation, and ease of installation. Feedback on the remote is mixed: some buyers find it easy to use, while others report problems with it. These comments are individual experiences, while the remote provides the listed controls for fan speed, lighting, direction, and timer functions.
