Panasonic KX-TGD810B Cordless Phone with Advanced Call Blocking and Large Display

If you want a home phone that helps manage nuisance calls and makes caller details easier to read, the Panasonic KX-TGD810B combines call-screening tools with a large, high-contrast display.

This cordless system includes one handset and can expand to support up to six. Its illuminated keypad also makes dialing easier in low light, while one-touch speed dial stores up to nine frequently called numbers.

Use the speakerphone for hands-free conversations, or connect calls between handsets for home intercom use. The system also supports three-way conference calls.

Quick overview

The KX-TGD810B is designed for everyday landline calling with added tools for handling unwanted calls. Automated Call Block prompts callers to press “1” to connect, helping screen robocalls. The Telemarketing Call Block feature blocks announced callers, and the handset’s Call Block button lets you block up to 1,000 numbers with one touch. When returning a one-ring call, a confirmation screen helps you pause before placing the call.

A large, high-contrast display makes caller information easier to see, and the backlit keypad helps with dialing in dim rooms. Bilingual Caller ID is listed as a feature, Caller ID service may require additional phone service. The digital answering system adds a practical option for home calls when you cannot answer live.

Best use cases

This setup suits households that want more call control than a basic cordless handset provides, without giving up familiar landline calling. It can be useful in a home office, a shared living space, or a room where a clearly visible display and direct call-block controls are priorities. A single handset is ready for individual use, while the expandable system offers a way to add handsets around the home as needs change.

For hands-free conversations, the full-duplex speakerphone supports talking without holding the handset. The handset and base can also be used for intercom communication. A handset can serve as a sound monitor in a baby’s room when paired with an additional handset, which is required for that monitoring setup.

Everyday use

The 100-number phonebook helps keep contacts available without dialing each number from memory, and speed dial provides one-touch access to up to nine stored numbers. For a call involving more participants, the phone supports three-way conferencing. These features make it a flexible choice for everyday family calls as well as remote conversations that benefit from speakerphone use.

Buyers commonly praise the easy-to-read display and straightforward operation. Feedback is more mixed on call blocking, sound clarity, and volume, and some buyers raise concerns about battery life. The listed specifications state up to 10 hours of talk time and 120 hours of standby time, actual experience may vary with use and settings.

Buying verdict

Choose the Panasonic KX-TGD810B if you want a cordless home phone centered on call management, clear-to-read controls, and room to expand beyond its included handset. Compared with a basic single-handset phone, its one-touch blocking, one-ring call confirmation, speakerphone, and intercom functions offer more ways to handle calls around the home. It brings those benefits together in a setup suited to households that still rely on a landline and want convenient call screening as part of daily use.
