Panasonic KX-TGF973B Cordless Phone System, 3 Handsets, Call Blocking, Link2Cell

Size & fit

For households that want cordless calling in more than one room and a practical way to screen nuisance calls, the Panasonic KX-TGF973B includes three handsets and an answering system. Its black finish with silver trim gives the set a coordinated look, while the handset layout lets family members keep a phone within reach in different parts of the home.

The system can expand to support up to six handsets, making it useful for households that may want to add coverage as their needs change. Link2Cell also connects the home phone with up to two cell phones, so calls to a paired mobile can be answered through a cordless handset.

Where it shines

Call management is a central strength. The phone comes with 14,000 pre-blocked numbers, can screen automated callers, and offers one-touch blocking for up to 2,000 additional numbers. A One-Ring Scam Alert displays a confirmation screen before returning a one-ring call, adding a prompt to pause before calling back. These tools are useful for households that want more control over unwanted calls without giving up a familiar landline-style setup.

Link2Cell Bluetooth lets you place a paired cell phone where it gets the best signal and make or receive its calls through the home handsets. For important conversations, two-way recording lets you replay details later, an announcement at the start of recording helps alert callers. The digital answering system stores missed-call messages, and the speakerphone supports hands-free conversations. Talking Caller ID announces and displays caller information in English or Spanish, Caller ID service is required.

Customers often praise the call-blocking features and straightforward setup. Feedback on sound, Bluetooth connection, and ease of use is mixed, and some buyers report battery-life concerns. Those perspectives are useful when weighing the system’s call-management and connected-phone features against your everyday calling preferences.
