Oterri AM02319 Clear PVC Desk Pad, 18" x 36", Rounded Edges

At 18" x 36", the Oterri clear desk pad covers a broad rectangular area for everyday writing, drawing, or computer work. Its transparent PVC lets the original tabletop show through, so you can protect the surface without hiding its color or finish.

The smooth writing surface gives you room to work directly on the mat, while rounded edges create a softer boundary around your hands and arms.

Made from 1.2 mm PVC, this pad is described as waterproof and heat resistant. Its clear design also lets you slip a to-do list or other important information underneath for quick reference.

Everyday use

Use the mat on an office desk, computer desk, or dining table to help guard the surface against scratches, scuffs, and stains. The 18" x 36" format provides a defined work area for writing or drawing, and the smooth top makes it easy to use as a writing surface rather than treating it only as a cover. It can also serve as a clear layer over a textured tabletop or tablecloth, keeping the underlying look visible while adding a protective surface.

For a practical desk setup, place a note or to-do list beneath the transparent PVC where it can remain visible as you work. The clear surface helps keep the tabletop in view, unlike an opaque desk blotter that covers it completely. The rounded edges add a finished outline and are designed to help protect hands from sharp corners.

What stands out

The key difference is the combination of a clear finish and a usable writing area. Instead of choosing between displaying the tabletop and covering it with a conventional opaque pad, this mat lets the surface remain visible while helping protect it during daily tasks. The PVC is 1.2 mm thick, and the mat is described as waterproof, heat resistant, and anti-static.

Buyers commonly praise the mat’s appearance, ease of cleaning, and ability to protect desk surfaces. Feedback on how well it stays flat and in place is mixed, and some buyers mention discoloration or staining over time. These comments provide useful context for choosing a clear desk protector, particularly if appearance is a priority in your workspace.

What to know

If the mat arrives curled, the product instructions recommend laying it in the reverse direction of the roll and pressing it with heavy items to help it flatten. Once positioned, it can be used as a desk cover, a smooth surface for writing or drawing, or a transparent layer over a tablecloth. Its clear construction is especially useful when you want to keep a tabletop’s appearance visible or place reminders where you can see them beneath the mat.

The rectangular 18" x 36" size suits a range of desk and table setups, while the rounded-edge design provides a smooth perimeter. For everyday work, the mat brings surface protection and a directly usable writing area together in one clear cover.

Final verdict

Choose the Oterri desk pad when you want to protect a work surface without concealing it. Its clear PVC, smooth writing area, rounded edges, and space for visible notes beneath the mat make it a practical fit for office desks, computer workspaces, and dining tables used for writing or drawing.
