Oroonoko OR128 Cat Scratch Sofa Arm Protector, Natural Sisal, Brown

Give your cat a dedicated place to scratch while covering a sofa arm with the Oroonoko OR128 protector. Its natural sisal surface is designed for scratching, and an attached scratch ball adds another point of interest.

The mat measures 27.6 inches long by 19.6 inches wide and 0.5 inches high. Its brown color is intended to blend with living-room furniture.

This is a focused option for protecting a sofa’s side area rather than covering the entire couch. Fit and placement depend on the sofa’s arm and leg-tie arrangement.

Key points

Natural sisal provides a scratchable surface on the sofa arm area, giving cats an intended place to work their claws while helping shield the furniture beneath. The attached scratch ball can draw a cat’s attention toward the mat. Together, these features make the protector useful for a common indoor setup: a cat that returns to the sofa arm to scratch while the household uses the living room.

The mat measures 27.6 inches L x 19.6 inches W x 0.5 inches H. It is designed to secure with leg ties, and the sofa arm must be 12 inches thick or less. The side area needs to accommodate the mat’s dimensions. The right-hand version is identified from the perspective of someone sitting on the sofa, not standing in front of it, so choose the side accordingly before installation.

Compared with a full furniture cover, this protector concentrates the sisal scratching surface on one sofa arm. That makes it a practical choice when the goal is to provide a specific scratching area while leaving the rest of the furniture uncovered. Buyers often describe their cats as enjoying the protector and note its scratch-protection function. Feedback on installation is mixed, and some buyers report difficulty with attachment or fit, matching the sofa’s dimensions and tie placement to the stated requirements helps guide setup.

Care & maintenance

The care instruction is hand wash only. Keeping the sisal surface clean by hand supports routine care without treating it like a machine-washable cushion cover. After placing it, check that the ties are secured around the sofa legs and that the mat sits over the intended arm area. Its right-hand orientation is based on the seated position, an important detail when positioning the protector on the correct side.

Who it’s for

This protector is intended for indoor cats and suits households looking to give a cat a defined scratching surface on a compatible couch or sofa arm. It can be especially useful when the scratching tends to happen at one side of the furniture, rather than across several areas. The brown sisal mat offers a more targeted approach than covering the whole sofa, while the scratch ball adds a feature intended to keep attention near the protected area.

Should you buy it?

Choose the Oroonoko OR128 if you want a natural sisal scratching mat focused on a sofa arm, with an attached scratch ball and a defined installation area. Its dimensions, leg-tie mounting, and right-hand orientation make it easier to judge whether it suits your furniture before placing it. For a cat that scratches a particular couch arm, it offers a dedicated surface in that spot while helping protect the furniture underneath.
