MontVoo 1728-PURE-WSD-DARKGREY Pet Feeding Mat, 17 x 28 in, Dark Gray

For cats and dogs that splash water or scatter food around their bowls, a feeding mat can help keep the feeding spot contained. This MontVoo mat pairs an absorbent surface with a rubber backing designed to resist leaks and slipping. Its dark gray finish gives the area a simple, low-key look.

Quick overview

Measuring 17 x 28 inches, the mat provides a defined surface for pet bowls and feeding equipment. The absorbent top is designed to catch drips around food and water bowls, while the rubber underside helps keep moisture from reaching the floor and helps the mat stay in place. That combination is useful for pets that tend to leave water around their bowl or make a mess while eating.

The surface is described as quick-drying and easy to wipe or rinse, with hand washing specified for care. Instead of placing bowls directly on the floor or choosing a fabric mat that can collect pet hair and dust, this design offers a rubber-backed surface intended for everyday feeding-area cleanup.

How it fits

At 17 x 28 inches, the mat is designed to make room for two bowls or to sit under an automatic or raised feeder. It can also serve as a water-bowl mat for a messy drinker, catching drips where pets drink and eat. The rectangular format creates a practical boundary around the feeding area, helping keep splashes and scattered food closer to the bowls.

The backing adds grip beneath the mat and is designed to block water from passing through to the floor. For routine traces, the surface can be wiped or rinsed, the care instructions specify hand washing. After washing, wipe the backing and let the surface air-dry before putting it back in place.

Who it’s for

This mat suits cat and dog households looking to give bowls a dedicated spot and add a layer of floor protection. It can be especially useful beside a water bowl where drips collect, or beneath a feeder where a larger defined surface is more practical than a small coaster-style mat. Its 17 x 28-inch size is intended to accommodate two bowls, though shoppers report mixed impressions of the fit and absorbency.

Customer feedback is positive about ease of cleaning, stability, and keeping feeding areas tidier. Experiences with absorbency and water resistance are mixed: some customers say it handles water well, while others report different results. The mat’s stated surface and rubber backing explain its intended use, while those varied impressions make it sensible to consider the bowl arrangement and feeding area where it will be placed.

What to clarify

Can this mat be used with both cats and dogs? Yes. It is intended for cat and dog feeding areas and can be placed beneath food or water bowls.

How should it be cleaned? The care instructions specify hand washing. For everyday traces, the product description also recommends wiping or rinsing the surface, then wiping the backing and allowing the top to air-dry.

Will it stay in place and help protect the floor? The rubber backing is designed to provide grip and resist water passing underneath the mat. It is intended to help keep the mat steady and protect the floor around the bowls.

Buying verdict

Choose the MontVoo mat when you want a single, rubber-backed surface for bowls or a feeder, with an absorbent top intended to catch everyday drips. Its 17 x 28-inch format, wipe-or-rinse cleanup, and dark gray color make it a practical fit for setting up a more contained feeding area for a cat or dog.
