Everyday use

Place the mat beneath food and water bowls to give spills and scattered bits a contained surface instead of leaving them directly on the floor. The raised edge is designed to help limit overflow, while the silicone material provides a barrier between feeding messes and the floor. Its non-slip design also helps keep bowls in place as pets eat and drink.

For a feeding station in a kitchen, laundry room, or other indoor area, the 18 x 12-inch footprint gives you a clear size to compare with your bowls and dishes. Check that they fit comfortably on the mat, with enough room for the feeding setup you use. If you’re choosing between a small mat for a single dish and a larger feeding-area setup, this size suits a more compact arrangement.

Buyers often highlight how easy the mat is to clean, its grip, and its usefulness for catching food and water messes. Some also like the paw-print appearance. Feedback on thickness is mixed: some describe the mat as thinner or more flexible than expected, so the dimensions and silicone format are useful points to consider when choosing a feeding surface.

How to use it

Set the mat on an indoor floor and place your pet’s bowls on top. After feeding, remove food residue and clean the surface with a brush or cloth, or rinse it with water. The mat is also dishwasher safe. Cleaning it after use helps keep the feeding area ready for the next meal.

The raised border and bowl-gripping surface make this a useful alternative to placing dishes directly on the floor, especially when food or water tends to scatter around the feeding spot. For the best fit, compare the mat’s dimensions with the bowls and dishes you plan to use before arranging the station.

Before you decide

What size is the mat? It measures 18 x 12 x 0.3 inches. Compare those dimensions with your bowls and dishes to see how they’ll fit on the feeding surface.

How do you clean it? Clean it after use with a brush or cloth, rinse it with water, or put it in the dishwasher. It is intended for indoor use.

Is it designed to help contain spills and keep bowls in place? Yes. The raised edge is designed to help contain food and water, and the non-slip silicone surface helps reduce bowl movement during feeding.

When it makes sense

The Ptlom G400 is suited to pet owners who want a washable silicone surface beneath indoor food and water bowls, with an edge designed to help contain mess and a grippy feel to help keep dishes steady. Its defined 18 x 12-inch size makes it easier to plan a compact feeding area and protect the floor around everyday meals.
