Usage tips

Give your dog time to get familiar with the launcher and how the fetch routine works. The manufacturer recommends training your dog to use it, starting with a short, calm introduction can help make the launcher part of a consistent game. Select one of the three distances to suit the available play space and your dog’s activity session.

The included 2-inch mini tennis balls are the ball size specified for this launcher. Keep the mesh bag handy to gather and store the balls between games. The unit does not operate while charging, and it is not water resistant, so keep it dry during use and storage, including when playing outside.

Tips for day-to-day use

For a compact indoor game, the 10-foot setting offers a shorter fetch path, in a more open area, the 20- or 30-foot setting gives the ball more room to travel. That choice makes the launcher useful for adapting a game to the space available rather than relying on one fixed throw distance. Outdoor play can make it easier to set up a longer retrieve, while indoor play can suit a more contained routine.

Compared with a person tossing each ball by hand, an automatic launcher offers a different way to organize fetch around repeat launches and distance choices. People-led play may be preferable when you want to control every throw directly, this launcher is suited to owners looking to introduce their small dog to an interactive ball game. Buyers describe the play as enjoyable for pets, while feedback on durability, operation, noise, battery life, and throwing distance is mixed. These are useful factors to consider when choosing the setting and play routine that fit your dog.
