DAMDANLUNO Dog Chew Toy, Nylon and Coffee Wood Fiber

Technical details

For households with a medium or large dog that needs something to do during quiet time, this pumpkin-shaped chew toy combines food dispensing with a surface for licking and chewing. Its two compartments are designed for fillings such as yogurt, peanut butter, or frozen treats, so a familiar snack can take longer to finish.

The compact shape is meant to be easy for a dog to grip while licking. The maker describes it as suitable for dogs weighing 25–80 lb, including strong chewers.

The toy measures 4.65 x 4.65 x 2.36 inches and weighs 0.71 lb. It is made with food-grade nylon and coffee wood fiber, and the product description says it is free of BPA, PVC, and phthalates. Its raised texture is intended to rub gums during chewing, but that should not be treated as a replacement for routine dental care. The smooth, nonporous surface is described as rinse-clean or dishwasher-safe.

What it works with

Fill the compartments with yogurt, peanut butter, or another frozen treat, then freeze the toy before offering it. That makes it a different approach from a basic chew toy: instead of just handing over an object, you can turn snack time into a licking and food-dispensing activity. Choose fillings your dog can safely eat, and account for them as part of the day’s food.

For example, you could prepare it ahead of a crate-training session, then give it to your dog as you settle in nearby. The maker says it can keep dogs occupied for 30+ minutes, though how long it lasts will depend on the dog and the filling. It is also described for independent play and travel, but its dimensions and weight may matter if you want a very small, lightweight toy.

Usage tips

Freeze the filled toy before serving when you want a slower treat, and rinse it after use so food residue does not linger. The washable surface may be easier to clean than a treat toy with hard-to-reach crevices, but dishwasher use is a product claim rather than a guarantee about every dishwasher or cleaning cycle.

Even though it is marketed for aggressive chewers, chewing strength and habits vary. Keep an eye on the toy during use and stop offering it if it becomes damaged. It suits you if you want one reusable item for chewing and treat-based enrichment. You may want to skip it if your dog prefers a soft toy or tends to ignore food-filled toys.

Questions before you buy

Can it be used with frozen treats? Yes. The compartments are intended for fillings such as yogurt, peanut butter, and frozen treats.

Is it easy to clean? The description says its smooth surface can be rinsed or placed in a dishwasher. It does not provide care-cycle details.

What size dogs is it intended for? The listing specifies medium to large dogs weighing 25–80 lb. If your dog is outside that range, the provided information does not establish a fit.

Buying verdict

This is worth considering when your dog enjoys licking food and you want a pumpkin-shaped toy that can double as a chew and a frozen treat holder. On the spec sheet, the food-grade nylon and coffee wood fiber construction is aimed at tougher chewing, but no chew toy is a sure fit for every dog. Choose it for treat-led enrichment and a washable format, choose a simpler chew if you do not need food compartments or your dog is not interested in licking out fillings.
