MAXDONE Trail Camera, Solar WiFi, 4K 64MP, 100° View, Night Vision

Usage tips

When a trail camera needs to stay outdoors for extended monitoring, solar power can be a practical priority, when quick access to footage matters more, phone connectivity can make a difference. This MAXDONE camera combines both approaches with motion-activated capture. Would viewing clips on your phone simplify checking a wildlife area? Its app lets you preview and download files without removing the memory card.

Set the camera where its 100° field of view covers the path or clearing you want to monitor, then use the included strap or mounting bracket for placement. At night, low-glow 850nm infrared LEDs capture activity up to 65 feet away. The camera also offers scheduled shooting and time-lapse, giving you options for observing activity over time as well as motion-triggered events.

For phone access, connect through the camera’s own Wi-Fi using the TrailCam GO app, it does not connect to a home Wi-Fi network. The stated connection range is up to 55 feet in an open area. Files are processed locally, and the camera includes a 32GB Micro SD card for storing captures. Its rechargeable battery and adjustable, detachable solar panel support outdoor use, and it can also connect to a power bank.

Why it makes sense

The combination of solar charging, a built-in rechargeable battery, and power-bank connection gives you several ways to keep this camera powered during outdoor monitoring. That can be useful when placing a camera along a wildlife trail or hunting area where frequent hands-on checks are inconvenient. Motion alerts help direct attention to detected activity, while 64MP photos and 4K video provide image and video capture options in one device.

Compared with a setup that requires retrieving a card each time you want to review footage, the app-based connection lets you preview and download files on a cell phone while near the camera. The camera’s own Wi-Fi is designed for this local connection, rather than joining a home network. Buyers often praise the image clarity, straightforward setup, and app navigation. Feedback on connectivity and video capture is more mixed, so the camera’s local connection method and motion-triggered workflow are important details when choosing how you want to review wildlife activity.

Buying verdict

Choose it when you want both motion-activated recording and the convenience of checking stored photos or videos nearby without taking out the Micro SD card.
