Getting the most from it
Check your printer’s exact model against the compatibility list before choosing this pack, a similar-looking model name is not enough to confirm a match. The listed yields are based on 5% page coverage, so actual results will depend on the amount of ink each page uses. Text-heavy documents and pages with broad color areas can use ink differently.
The listing describes the chip as compatible with current printer firmware, but also warns that newer firmware may prevent third-party 902XL cartridges from working. Treat that as a relevant compatibility caveat rather than a guarantee of recognition. Customer feedback is mixed: some buyers praise print quality and straightforward installation, while others report recognition problems, uneven color results, shorter-than-expected ink life, or leakage during installation. These reports are varied, so they should inform a compatibility decision rather than be read as a consistent outcome.
Worth considering if you want black and color replacements together and your specific printer appears on the supported list. Better avoided if you need HP-branded genuine cartridges or cannot risk an aftermarket cartridge being unrecognized by your printer.
What you get
The pack contains one 902XL black cartridge and one each in cyan, magenta, and yellow. The listing states a 24-month warranty with free replacement for quality issues. These are LxTek compatible cartridges, not HP-branded cartridges.
Before you decide
Which printers are listed as compatible? The supported list includes selected OfficeJet models from the 6950, 6960, and 6970 series. Match the full model number to the list above before ordering.
What page yield does the listing give? It states up to 1,500 pages for black and 1,000 pages per color cartridge, calculated at 5% coverage. These are stated yields, not a promise of the same result for every print pattern.
Are these genuine HP cartridges? No. They are LxTek compatible replacements. Buyers report mixed experiences with printer recognition, so compatibility is not assured for every printer or firmware version.
Final verdict
This four-pack is aimed at owners of listed OfficeJet printers who need all four 902XL colors in one set. Its per-cartridge yield figures and included color range make it straightforward to compare with buying cartridges individually. The main tradeoff is that third-party recognition can vary, and the listing itself flags newer firmware as a possible obstacle. If consistent recognition or HP-branded ink is essential, this is not the closest match, for a compatible replacement set, verify the exact printer model and weigh the reported mixed results.
