LG 16-inch touchscreen laptop

Highlights

If you want a roomy screen and touch input for work, this LG Gram Pro 16 is built around both. Its 16-inch IPS display has a 2560 x 1600 resolution, so spreadsheets, documents, and side-by-side windows get more space than they would on a smaller-screen laptop. Tapping to zoom or scroll can also feel more direct when you’re reviewing a presentation or browsing without reaching for the touchpad.

The Intel Core Ultra 7 355, 32GB of LPDDR5X memory, and 1TB SSD make this configuration aimed at busy multitasking rather than basic web and email alone. The processor includes an NPU rated at up to 49 TOPS, and the laptop is described as a Copilot+ PC. That could suit AI-assisted workflows, though the listing doesn’t specify how any particular app will perform.

Quick sizing guide

The 16-inch display is the main fit question: it gives you a generous workspace, but it also makes this less compact than a small-screen laptop. The listed weight is approximately 2.97 pounds, with a thickness of 0.52–0.60 inches, so it’s designed to make a larger screen easier to carry between home, an office, and a classroom. For example, you could keep a spreadsheet open beside a video meeting, then pack the laptop up for the commute without switching to a desktop setup.

The screen is an IPS touchscreen with 350 nits of brightness. Keep in mind that brightness figure when choosing it for frequent use in very bright rooms or outdoors, the supplied specs don’t establish how comfortable it will be in direct sunlight. It suits you if you want a portable work machine with a large touch display. It might not be a great match if your priority is the smallest possible bag or a screen specifically rated for demanding outdoor viewing.

Tips for day-to-day use

For work and study, the 32GB of memory gives you room to keep many browser tabs, office apps, and large documents open at once, while the 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD provides storage for files and projects. The listing also describes two M.2 SSD slots, which may matter if you want storage flexibility later, it doesn’t state the details of any upgrade process.

For a desk setup, the two Thunderbolt 4/USB4 Type-C ports support Power Delivery and DisplayPort, alongside two USB-A ports and HDMI 2.1. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 are included, as are an FHD IR webcam with facial recognition, dual microphones, Dolby Atmos audio, and a backlit full-size keyboard with numeric keypad. The 77Wh battery is listed with up to 28.5 hours of battery life, but actual runtime will depend on how you use the laptop. That’s worth bearing in mind if you expect a full day of demanding work away from an outlet.

Before you decide

Is the screen a touchscreen? Yes. The 16-inch IPS display supports touch input and has a 2560 x 1600 resolution.

How much memory and storage does it include? This configuration has 32GB LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD.

Can it connect to external displays? The listed options include DisplayPort over its Thunderbolt 4/USB4 Type-C ports and an HDMI 2.1 port.

Final verdict

This configuration makes sense if your daily work benefits from a large, high-resolution touchscreen, substantial memory, and a broad mix of ports in a laptop listed at approximately 2.97 pounds. It takes a more mobile, touch-focused approach than a basic laptop chosen mainly for simple browsing, while keeping a clear trade-off: the 16-inch size won’t suit someone seeking the smallest travel device, and the brightness specification may not be ideal for sunlit use. Choose it for portable productivity and touch interaction, look elsewhere if compactness or outdoor screen visibility matters more.
