Lenovo 2-in-1 laptop 16-inch

For people who want a roomy touchscreen for work, streaming, or sketching—and the option to fold it into tablet mode—the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 brings several ways to use one computer.

Its 16-inch WUXGA display gives documents and video calls more space than a smaller laptop screen. The tradeoff is a larger machine to carry.

The draw here is flexibility, not a compact travel-first design. It also pairs that convertible format with 16GB of memory and a 1TB SSD.

Quick sizing guide

The 16-inch screen is the first thing to weigh against your routine. It can make side-by-side windows and presentations more comfortable to view, while the 2-in-1 hinge lets you switch to tent or stand mode for watching a video or following a recipe on the counter. Folded back, it can also serve as a touchscreen tablet for reading or casual drawing.

Lenovo lists the laptop at 4.22 pounds, so it is portable in the sense that you can take it between home, class, or work, but it is not the kind of small-screen device that disappears into a bag. If you often work at a tight café table or carry your laptop all day, screen size and weight deserve more attention than the convertible feature alone. The listing does not give the laptop’s physical dimensions, so the display size is not a complete guide to how it will fit your bag.

Would you actually use the extra modes? If you mostly type at a desk, a conventional laptop may do the same job with less emphasis on touch. It’s a great fit if you switch between typing, viewing, and touch-based tasks and want one device for those situations.

Pros

• The 16-inch WUXGA (1920 x 1200) IPS touchscreen supports laptop, tent, stand, and tablet modes.
• 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB SSD give you room for everyday multitasking and files.
• Intel Arc 140V integrated graphics are positioned for light photo editing, casual gaming, and video playback—not a dedicated gaming setup.
• Wi-Fi 7, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB-A, HDMI, and a microSD card reader offer several ways to connect accessories and displays.
• A backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader, and webcam privacy shutter add practical touches for work and calls.

A realistic limit: the display is listed at 300 nits and 60Hz, so shoppers prioritizing a brighter screen or a faster refresh rate should compare those specifications before choosing. The listed battery life is up to 12.5 hours, without having tried it, treat that as a stated maximum rather than a promise for every workload.

Final verdict

Better avoided if you need a lightweight, compact laptop above all else, or if your work depends on demanding graphics performance, the listed graphics are integrated and described for lighter tasks. For a larger-screen everyday machine that can also fold into viewing and touch-friendly positions, the Yoga 7i has a clearer case. Compared with buying a basic clamshell laptop, its main reason to cost you more space in your bag is the touchscreen and flexible hinge—worth prioritizing only if those modes will be part of your routine.
