Dell XPS touchscreen laptop with 1TB SSD

The 13.4-inch 2.5K touchscreen is the standout here: its 2560 x 1600 resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, and 500-nit brightness are geared toward clear, responsive viewing for everyday work and entertainment. Dell pairs it with an Intel Core 5 320, 8GB of LPDDR5x memory, and a 1TB PCIe SSD, so the configuration leans toward a quick-feeling daily laptop with plenty of listed storage. At 1 kg and 12.7 mm thick, it also has portability in mind. The key trade-off is that the memory is fixed at 8GB in the supplied details, so buyers planning heavier creative work or lots of demanding apps at once should weigh that carefully.

Where it shines

For browsing, streaming, documents, and routine productivity, the Core 5 processor and 1TB SSD make a practical pairing: the processor is specified with six cores and speeds up to 4.6GHz, while the drive leaves room for files and applications without immediately relying on external storage. The touchscreen adds a more direct way to navigate, for example, you can tap through a page or zoom into a document while seated at a café table rather than reaching for a mouse.

The 2.5K panel and 120Hz refresh rate are useful details for people who spend much of the day looking at the screen, and 500 nits gives the display a stated brightness figure to compare with other options. Its InfinityEdge design keeps the display-focused look, while the CNC aluminum body comes in Sky. It’s a great fit if you want a compact Windows laptop with a sharp touch display and substantial built-in storage, rather than a machine chosen primarily for maximum memory or a broad selection of listed ports.

What to know

The 8GB LPDDR5x memory is the main point to consider before choosing. It may be enough for ordinary browsing and office tasks, but intensive creative projects or frequent multitasking could call for a configuration with more memory. The product details list two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports, with DisplayPort and power delivery support, if your desk setup depends on other connector types, make sure those two ports suit the accessories you use. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 are included, along with Windows 11 Home.

The listing gives thickness and weight but not the laptop’s width and depth, so matching it to a snug sleeve is hard to judge without that measurement. It may not suit you if you need those full fit details before buying, or if your work routinely pushes beyond everyday computing. Battery life is also not stated, so the listed portability alone does not establish how long it will run away from an outlet.

Best use cases

This setup makes the most sense for someone carrying a Windows laptop between home, class, and work, then using it for documents, web apps, video, or light creative tasks. The backlit keyboard, multi-touch glass touchpad, and 1080p FHD camera with IR sensor support everyday desk and video-call use, Windows Hello facial recognition is also listed. A 65W USB-C GaN slim adapter is included, though the product information does not specify battery runtime.

If you prioritize a responsive touchscreen, a high-resolution display, and 1TB of storage, this XPS has a clear case. If you prefer more memory headroom for demanding workloads, a different configuration may be a better direction than choosing by screen and storage alone.

When it makes sense

Choose this Dell when your typical day is built around portable, general-purpose computing and you value the touchscreen, compact 1 kg design, and roomy SSD. The display and storage are the more distinctive reasons to consider it over a simpler laptop focused on basic screen and drive capacity. Skip this configuration if 8GB of memory is likely to be a constraint, if your accessories need ports beyond the two listed USB-C connections, or if you need battery-life information to plan a full day away from power.
