Product description
The 8 x 14 ft clear vinyl format provides a broad covering while keeping the area behind it visible. Its 14-mil material is waterproof and designed to let natural light through. Use it to cover a patio, greenhouse, or chicken coop while maintaining a clear view.
Size & fit
At 8 x 14 ft, this tarp suits larger openings and sheltered areas that need a transparent cover. Aluminum grommets spaced every 17–20 inches provide fastening points along the edges, and the included rope can be used to secure it. Buyers often praise its clarity and thickness, though some report that the measurements differ from the advertised size. Keep the listed dimensions in mind when planning the covered area.
Why it makes sense
An opaque tarp blocks the view as well as the weather, this clear vinyl version is designed to provide coverage without closing off the space visually. The stated 99% light transmission makes it useful where plants need access to natural light, such as a greenhouse or garden shelter. For a patio or porch, the transparent material preserves visibility while helping shield the area from rain and wind.
Reinforced edges, six-needle stitching, plastic corner plates, and a heat-sealed design add structural support at points used for fastening. The corrosion-resistant aluminum grommets make it practical to tie down with rope or hooks. Customer feedback also highlights the tarp’s clarity, thickness, and perceived ability to block wind, making it a useful option for creating a temporary outdoor enclosure.
