KOOLTAIL BJSJ122_SDL Christmas Dog Hoodie, Large Red Holiday Sweatshirt

For a Christmas walk or a holiday photo, the KOOLTAIL BJSJ122_SDL adds a red seasonal pattern, hood, and pocket to a dog’s outfit. It’s a more festive choice than a plain everyday layer, while still being described as suitable for daily wear. The listed size is Large, with a 21-inch neck measurement.

Quick overview

This hooded dog sweatshirt is made from polyester and is machine washable. Its Christmas pattern gives it a clear seasonal look, and a leash opening at the back is designed to let you connect a leash while wearing a harness underneath. The belly is cut higher for easier potty breaks, and the pullover style is intended to make dressing and undressing more straightforward.

The listing describes the hoodie as a warm layer for winter, but it is not water resistant. That makes it better suited to cool, dry outings than to wet-weather protection. Buyers often describe the material as soft and say it works for walks in cool spring or fall weather, too. Feedback on fit is mixed: some are pleased with the fit, while others say sizing can run large. Comfort reports also vary, including comments from buyers whose dogs have sensitive skin.

Quick sizing guide

The listed size is Large, and the stated neck size is 21 inches. The product details also give a minimum weight recommendation of 15 pounds, but that alone won’t determine whether the garment fits a particular dog. Measure your dog’s neck, chest, and back length before choosing, the listing recommends selecting the larger size if your dog falls between sizes. Since buyer feedback includes varied sizing experiences, use measurements rather than relying on the size label alone.

It suits you if you want a Christmas-themed layer with a leash opening and a pullover design. If your dog is sensitive to clothing materials, the mixed comfort feedback is worth keeping in mind before choosing a polyester garment.

Practical tips

Take measurements while your dog is standing naturally, and compare all three areas requested in the sizing guidance: neck, chest, and back length. Check that the hood and body sit comfortably without restricting movement. The leash opening is intended for attaching a leash to a harness worn underneath, so position the harness before putting the hoodie on and confirm that the opening lines up.

Machine washing is listed as the care method. Because the fabric is not water resistant, treat this as clothing rather than a rain layer. For a short, dry-weather walk or a seasonal gathering, its holiday print may be more useful than a plain sweatshirt, for rainy conditions, the product details do not indicate weather protection.

Questions before you buy

What measurements should I take? Measure your dog’s neck, chest, and back length. The listed Large size has a 21-inch neck measurement, and the guidance says to choose the larger size if your pet is between sizes.

Can I use a leash with the hoodie on? The back has a leash opening designed to connect a leash to a harness worn underneath.

Will it keep my dog dry in rain? No water resistance is specified, the product is explicitly listed as not water resistant, so it should not be treated as rainwear.

When it makes sense

Choose this hoodie when a seasonal look, a leash opening, and a washable polyester layer fit your plans. The buyer feedback is encouraging about softness and use in cool weather, but sizing and comfort are not consistent for everyone. If fit is uncertain, prioritize your dog’s measurements, and consider your pet’s sensitivity to clothing before deciding.
