The water-activated drawing surface lets children make pictures without paint or ink. That means creative play centers on water and the mat, rather than a collection of coloring supplies. A waterproof backing supports use on the floor or a table, while four suction cups allow the mat to be placed on a smooth wall or glass window. The horizontal 60 x 40-inch format offers space for individual drawing or for children to create side by side.

• Size: 60 x 40 inches

The water drawings fade after 3–10 minutes, making the mat ready for another round without keeping finished pages. For a child who likes to make their own pictures, it works as a reusable drawing space, for a child practicing early writing, the letter and number patterns offer a starting point for tracing.

Who it’s for

This mat suits toddlers and young children who enjoy drawing, stamping, or learning through hands-on play. It can also work well when siblings or friends want to share one activity: the large surface gives them room to draw together rather than taking turns with a small board. Set it out on the floor for a relaxed play session, or attach it to a smooth wall or glass surface with the included suction cups to change the drawing position.

Buyers often describe the mat as easy for young children to use and enjoyable for extended play. They also appreciate its large drawing area for shared activities, and some highlight the alphabet and word practice as a useful part of play. These impressions make it especially appealing as a creative birthday or holiday gift, while the reusable water-drawing format offers a different kind of activity from paper-based coloring books.

What you get

The set includes seven pens, a design booklet, four dinosaur templates, six stamps, a roller, and a stamp pad, along with four suction cups for mounting. The variety of drawing and stamping tools gives children several ways to use the mat: follow a template, trace a letter or number, add stamped shapes, or make a freehand picture. To begin, fill a pen with clean water and draw on the mat, when the marks fade, the surface is ready for another design.

Should you buy it?

Choose the Jasonwell mat if you want a generously sized, reusable drawing activity with a dinosaur theme and tools for both free drawing and guided play. The water-only approach, learning patterns, and included stamps and templates make it a practical fit for children who like to switch between making their own pictures and following simple prompts. Its 60 x 40-inch surface is particularly useful when the activity needs room for more than one young artist.
