IWGAME FDR300 Back Paddles for PS5 Controller, 4 Programmable Buttons, Wired USB
Product description
A 7.2-foot wired USB cable connects these IWGAME back paddles to a PS5 controller. The attachment adds four programmable rear buttons for mapped inputs and macros. It also offers semi-automatic and fully automatic turbo at 8Hz. Compared with using only the controller’s standard buttons, it provides extra inputs, a wireless setup may suit players who want to avoid a cable.
Worth noting

The FDR300 is designed to work with PS5 controller versions BDM-010, BDM-020, BDM-030, and BDM-040. It also lists compatibility with PS5, PC, Mac, and Android TV. The Edge Controller is not supported, so that distinction matters if you own Sony’s Edge model. The controller itself is not included.

The four paddles, labeled M1 through M4, can be assigned single-button inputs or multi-button combinations. To program them, press the Macro button to enter programming and remap mode, then record the inputs for the paddle you want to configure. Each paddle can save up to 25 button inputs, and each recorded button press is limited to 5 seconds. That gives you room to assign repeated actions or combinations without changing how you use the controller’s front buttons.

Turbo supports semi-automatic and fully automatic operation, with a listed speed of 8Hz. The attachment also supports the controller’s headphone microphone, so the wired paddle setup does not, according to the product details, rule out using that microphone for team chat. For the paddles to work on PS5, set the controller communication method to “Use USB Cable” under Settings > Accessories > Controller (General) > Communication Method. That setup requirement is worth knowing before connecting it.
Who it’s for

These paddles are aimed at players who want additional assignable inputs on a compatible PS5 controller, or who use the listed PC, Mac, or Android TV platforms. They may be useful when a game has actions you would rather map to rear buttons, or when you want to record a multi-button sequence as a macro. It makes sense if you want programmable rear controls without installing a remap kit.
The wired connection is part of the package, not an optional wireless mode. If you prefer a cable-free controller setup, that difference may matter. Compatibility is also specific: the listed PS5 controller versions are supported, but the Edge Controller is not.

Everyday use

For a game with several frequently used commands, you can assign selected inputs to M1–M4 and reach those controls from the back of the attachment. A recorded combination can also be assigned to a paddle, subject to the stated input and recording limits. Turbo provides another way to repeat an input, though the product details do not describe game-specific behavior or outcomes, so its usefulness will depend on what you play.

The plug-and-play design avoids an installation step, but it still requires the wired USB connection. On PS5, the communication-method setting must be changed to USB cable, otherwise, the paddles will not work. The listed cable length is 7.2 feet, which gives a concrete reference for planning where the controller will be used relative to the console or USB connection.
When it makes sense

Choose the FDR300 if extra rear inputs, programmable macros, and turbo are more useful to you than a wireless setup, and your controller is one of the supported versions. Its four paddles offer a more configurable approach than relying only on standard controller buttons, while keeping the existing controller as the base.
It might not be a great match if you use the Edge Controller or want to avoid a wired connection. The setup also depends on selecting USB cable communication on PS5. Those requirements are specific and clear, so they can help you decide whether this add-on fits your controller and play area before you buy.
