Compatibility

Use Bluetooth to connect the controller wirelessly to a Nintendo Switch, PC, mobile device, Smart TV, Steam Deck OLED, Legion Go, or ROG Ally. The listed compatible mobile platforms include Android and iOS. The controller is designed for multi-device use, so it can suit a gaming setup that spans a console, computer, and phone rather than a single system.

The CRKD companion app adds a collectible-focused feature: tap a mobile device to the controller to reveal its product number and rarity rank. The app also lets you customize adjustable controller features. For a player who values both the controller’s look and its setup, that brings the collectible design and practical customization together.

Best use cases

The NEO S is suited to players who want to move between supported gaming devices and keep familiar controls close at hand. For example, you can pair it with a Nintendo Switch for console play, then connect it to a PC or mobile device over Bluetooth for another gaming session. Its motion sensing and rumble add supported controller features, while the headphone jack offers a direct connection point for headphones.

Hall Effect thumbsticks provide precise, responsive control, and the Hall Effect triggers let you adjust sensitivity to find a preferred actuation feel. Remappable rear buttons can be assigned to a single input or a sequence of inputs, giving you another way to arrange controls around your game. If you prefer a more personalized feel, the swappable stick tops make it easy to change the thumbstick setup.

Unlike a controller with fixed rear-button assignments, the NEO S lets you map those buttons to suit your preferences. That flexibility can be useful when you want a more tailored layout across different games. It’s a great fit if wireless multi-device play, configurable controls, and a collectible Rocket League design are all part of what you’re looking for.

Should you buy it?

Choose the CRKD NEO S if you want one wireless gamepad for the supported devices in your setup, plus controls you can adjust rather than simply accept as configured. Hall Effect sticks and triggers, remappable back buttons, adjustable trigger sensitivity, and swappable stick tops give you several concrete ways to personalize play. The Rocket League Gold Edition adds collectible appeal, and the charging dock makes this edition a practical match for a dedicated gaming space.
