E-Z Ink Pro TN229XL/TN229 Toner Cartridges, 5-Pack with Chip
Product description
This five-cartridge TN229XL set combines black, cyan, magenta, and yellow toner in one package. It includes two black cartridges and one of each color. That setup suits a printer handling both everyday monochrome documents and color pages, unlike a black-only replacement purchase.

Getting the most from it
The set is intended as a compatible replacement for the listed Brother laser printer models. Before choosing it, match your printer’s exact model number against the compatibility list, a similar-looking model name alone isn’t enough to establish a fit. You may want to skip it if your printer is not one of the listed models.
The built-in chips are described as displaying toner levels, so there’s no need to transfer chips from old cartridges. The stated page yields are estimates at 5% page coverage, rather than a promise for every document. Pages with heavier ink coverage may not match those figures. For a small office or home workspace that prints a mix of text and color, having all four toner colors in one set can be more practical than sourcing each color separately.
Buyers describe the cartridges as easy to install and report clear, sharp output and good compatibility with their Brother printers. These are customer impressions, not a guarantee that every printer or print job will produce the same results. The listed yield and model compatibility are the more useful details to weigh for your own setup.
Included in the package
The package contains two TN229XL black cartridges, one cyan, one magenta, and one yellow cartridge, plus a user guide. That gives you a replacement for each color channel and a second black cartridge in the same set.
What to clarify
Which printers are listed as compatible? The stated models are MFC-L3720CDW, MFC-L3765CDW, MFC-L3780CDW, MFC-L8395CDW, HL-L3220CDW, HL-L3280CDW, HL-L3300CDW, HL-L3295CDW, and HL-L8245CDW.
Does the set include chips? Yes. The product information says the cartridges have chips intended to display toner levels.
What page yield is stated? Up to 3,000 pages per black cartridge and up to 2,300 pages per color cartridge, based on 5% coverage on Letter/A4 pages.
Is it worth it?
A solid pick if you have one of the listed printers and want a single set covering black and all three color toners, with an extra black cartridge included. The chip and stated yields add practical details for monitoring replacements and estimating supply needs. If you need a different cartridge model or your printer isn’t on the compatibility list, this set isn’t the match to choose.
