E-Z Ink Replacement Ink Cartridges 280XXL/281XXL

If you mainly print everyday documents and color images, a five-cartridge replacement set can be more practical than buying each color separately. The E-Z Ink Pro 280XXL/281XXL pack includes a large black cartridge, a smaller black cartridge, and cyan, magenta, and yellow, but no photo blue. That matters if your printer uses photo blue for the kind of photo printing you do. The set is listed for a range of Canon PIXMA models, so matching your exact printer is the first step before choosing it.

Getting the most from it

This set is intended to replace Canon 280 and 281 cartridges, including PGI-280XXL and CLI-281XXL versions. The listed compatible printers include the TR8620a, TR8620, TS9520, TR7520, TS6320, TS6220, TS6120, and TS8220, among others. Check the complete compatibility list against your printer’s model number, a similar-looking model name is not enough to establish a match.

The package contains one large black PGI-280XXL, one small black CLI-281XXL, and one each of cyan, magenta, and yellow CLI-281XXL. In everyday use, that means you have both black cartridge types on hand for text and the color inks for mixed documents or images. The listing says the cartridges use smart chips to track ink and show remaining levels, with plug-and-play installation. Those are useful conveniences if you want the printer to report ink status, though the listing alone doesn’t establish how performance compares with original cartridges.

Why it’s worth it

The practical appeal is having five replacement cartridges in one pack rather than sourcing black and each color separately. The stated yields are 600 pages for the large black, 6,360 pages for the small black, and 830 pages per color cartridge. These are the listing’s figures, not a guarantee for every print job, actual use can vary with what you print and how often you use color.

The missing photo blue is the key trade-off. If your printing is mostly schoolwork, forms, recipes, or general color pages, the included black, cyan, magenta, and yellow inks cover a useful range of needs. If you rely on all of your printer’s color channels for photo work, a set that includes photo blue may be a better match. It’s a great fit if you want a multi-cartridge replacement pack for a compatible PIXMA and don’t need photo blue in this purchase.

Key takeaways

• Five cartridges: large black, small black, cyan, magenta, and yellow.
• Photo blue is not included, so this is not a full set of every listed ink color.
• The product is described as compatible with Canon 280/281 cartridge systems and a range of PIXMA models.
• Smart chips are described as tracking ink levels and supporting plug-and-play installation.

A useful way to decide is to compare your printer’s current cartridge numbers with the pack contents, not just the printer family name. If you prioritize having the five listed inks ready together, this set is convenient, if you prefer a complete color group for photo-focused printing, look for a pack that specifies photo blue as well. It may not suit you if your exact printer is absent from the compatibility list or you need that extra photo color.

When it makes sense

Choose this E-Z Ink set when your printer is listed as compatible and you need replacement 280XXL/281XXL cartridges for routine document and color printing. The stated yields may also help you compare cartridge options, but treat them as reference figures rather than a promise of pages from your own mix of jobs. On the spec sheet, the main limitation is straightforward: five cartridges are included, and photo blue is not one of them. If that matches how you print, the pack keeps the relevant black and standard color inks together, if photo-blue printing is part of your regular workflow, choose a set that includes it instead.
