HOPET Interactive Dog Toys for Large Dogs Dog Hanging Toy (Blue), Outdoor Bungee Tug

Cotton chew ropes make this blue HOPET hanging tug toy a hands-on way to add movement to outdoor play. A spring pole and adjustable bungee cord create a tethered tug setup for dogs to jump, grab, pull, and swing.

Hang it from a sturdy branch, beam, or other elevated support, then adjust the cord height to suit the play area. The rotating stainless steel pole helps reduce tangling as the toy moves.

If you want a dog to play tug independently, this setup offers a different approach from a handheld tug toy that depends on a person joining in. It can also add an active chasing-and-pulling activity to time spent in the yard.

Highlights

The spring mechanism acts as a shock absorber while a dog pulls on the attached rope toy. The moving, tethered design invites repeated grabbing and tugging, giving active dogs a way to engage with a toy outdoors. The adjustable cord lets you set the hanging height, and the two replaceable chew ropes provide a choice of rope toy during play.

Stainless steel hardware and a rotating pole are part of the hanging assembly. The product is designed for outdoor use and is described for small, medium, and large breeds, with a medium-to-large size designation. For setup, use a sturdy elevated support and position the toy about 30–180 centimeters above the ground so the dog’s hind legs can remain on the ground and it can avoid chewing the metal parts.

Buyers often appreciate the engaging play and straightforward setup, while reports about durability are mixed: some describe a sturdy toy, and others say the rope or ball wore out quickly. Some also criticize the spring mechanism as small. Regular checks of the ropes and attachments help you spot wear before play.

Maintenance

Supervise your dog while it plays, and inspect the ropes and hardware regularly for wear. The rope is not intended to be an indestructible chew toy. The cotton rope toys are described as washable and reusable, so they can be cleaned between play sessions. Replace a worn rope rather than continuing to use it.

Who it’s for

This hanging tug is suited to dog owners looking to add an outdoor activity that encourages chasing, jumping, and pulling, especially for dogs that enjoy tug-of-war. It can be useful when you want a tethered play option rather than a toy that must be held throughout the game. A sturdy, elevated mounting point is part of the setup, and supervision keeps play focused on the rope instead of the metal components.
