FLERDMAU Snuffle Mat for Dogs, Turtle Puzzle Feeder for Foraging

Key features

The FLERDMAU Snuffle Mat turns treat time into a scent-finding activity, giving dogs a chance to sniff, search, and uncover hidden rewards. Its turtle-shaped design offers spaces to tuck treats into, making feeding more engaging and adding a simple indoor activity for rainy days or quiet time at home.

It also works as a puzzle-style slow feeder: scatter treats or food through the mat so your dog works to find each piece instead of eating from a bowl in one quick pass. The goal is a more active, natural-feeling way to engage with food, while the search itself provides mental stimulation.

If you want a straightforward feeding setup, a regular bowl keeps meals simple. This mat is better suited to owners looking to add a hands-on sniffing game to treat time or indoor routines. Buyers often highlight how it keeps dogs occupied, the number of places to hide treats, and its playful turtle appearance.

Quick sizing guide

The mat measures 19.7 x 19.7 x 3.1 inches and is listed as Small. The product is presented for small, medium, and large dogs, while the stated dimensions give you a practical way to judge how it will fit in your dog’s usual play or feeding spot. It is intended for indoor use, so place it on a suitable floor area where your dog can comfortably sniff through the folds.

Getting the most from it

Hide treats among the mat’s folds to invite your dog to search by scent. For a first session, make a few rewards easy to find, then tuck them into different areas as your dog gets familiar with the activity. The product description also notes adjustable difficulty, letting you vary how challenging the search is. Use it for treat-based enrichment, training activities, or to make an indoor break more engaging.

The mat is described as machine washable, which helps simplify cleanup after food or treat sessions. Follow the care instructions for the mat when washing it. It is designed for puppies and adult dogs, making the same sniff-and-find activity available across those life stages.
