Best use cases

The 40-foot length is useful when the source and screen are separated—for example, connecting a console near a seating area to a TV across the room, or routing a source device to a projector. It also works for home theater arrangements with a Blu-ray player, soundbar, amplifier, or compatible computer in the signal path. Supported devices include PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, TVs, monitors, projectors, and DVD and Blu-ray players.

Choose this cable when the installation calls for a long run and you want HDMI 2.1 features such as high-refresh-rate video, eARC, and variable refresh rate in the same connection. A shorter cable may be easier to route when devices sit close together, this 40-foot format is aimed at installations where extra reach is the practical priority. HDR and gaming features such as VRR and ALLM can support compatible source-and-display setups, while eARC and ARC provide audio return over HDMI when the connected equipment supports them.

Buyers describe the cable’s picture and sound quality, sturdy feel, appearance, and length positively. Feedback on durability and connectivity is mixed, so experiences vary, the long cable format remains useful for arranging source equipment and a display farther apart.

Getting the most from it

Plan the route from the HDMI source to the display before connecting, especially when the cable needs to follow a wall or pass around furniture. Match the cable’s supported features to the capabilities of the connected devices: the source, display, and any audio equipment all need to support the feature you want to use. For a console and TV setup, connect the console to the display and use the TV’s supported audio-return connection for compatible audio equipment. For a projector installation, the cable’s 40-foot length can bridge a more spread-out room layout.

Should you buy it?

It suits you if your setup needs a long HDMI run and you want support for 8K at 60Hz, 4K at 120Hz, and features including eARC and VRR. The braided, black fiber optic cable is designed for indoor video and audio connections between compatible HDMI devices, making it a practical fit for a home theater, gaming area, or projector arrangement where source and screen are not close together.
